MURDOCH JOURNO, ANDREW BOLT, DEFENDS THE ‘CREED’ THAT MOTIVATED ANDERS BREIVIK

In his column today, Murdoch journalist Andrew Bolt defends the creed of hate that motivated the killing of more than 90 people in Norway.

In his article, which he titles ‘Look not at his creed but at his wounds’, Bolt attempts to excuse the actions of Breivik by portraying him as being deeply frustrated by a sense of “powerlessness” which Bolt suggests is bought on by being engulfed by Islam, and “rejection” because of coming from a broken family.

While Bolt has used various superlatives to describe what Breivik had done including ‘murder’ and ‘atrocity’, etc., Bolt has consistently failed to wholeheartedly condemn the crime or the ‘creed’ that motivated it.

Fortunately, apart from a few of Bolt’s regular far-right Islamophobic supporters, most comments, even from some who often support Bolt, are critical of him for taking this stance.

After a careful read of Bolt’s post one can only conclude that Bolt is actually supportive of the reason why Breivik committed this crime. Certainly Andrew Bolt and his Islamophobic supporters in Australia are on exactly the same wavelength as Breivik. It was only a matter of time before Bolt's influence manifested itself in this type of violence.

We have Murdoch to thank for the part Bolt has played in bringing the kind of hate-filled thinking Breivik has displayed to Australia.

Murdoch should immediately sack this hate-monger before his Islamophobic nonsense gains a foothold in Australia and culminates in the same kind of tragedy that happened in Norway.

MURDOCH’S AUSTRALIAN HATE MERCHANTS

Whereas in Britain Murdoch’s journalists revel in tabloid sensationalism utilising various nefarious methods of gaining material for their non-stories, Murdoch’s Australian journalists tend more to specialise in ultra right-wing racism. This includes cultural and religious racism directed mainly toward Islam, as well as blood and colour racism which is directed particularly toward Australia’s own Aboriginal people and also toward black Africans that have sought refuge in Australia.

At Melbourne’s Herald-Sun newspaper, Andrew Bolt, the ultra right-wing blogger-columnist, almost daily lays bare his racist credentials for all his followers to see. Today, for example, he tells us that the ‘underclass are stirring’. For Bolt the underclass are the whites of Australia who are lashing out against African migrants. In a futile effort to distance himself from the activities and violence of the underclass that he has stirred up by writing articles designed specifically to influence such perpetrators of violence and hatred, Bolt calls his post about the stirred underclass; ‘White trash’.

Meanwhile, at Murdoch’s Sydney newspaper, The Telegraph, another ultra right-wing blogger-columnist, Tim Blair, showed his Islamophobic colours when he made the same knee-jerk call as Bolt when the Norwegian atrocity story broke; he blamed Muslims.

The other blogger-columnist at The Telegraph is the all round racist Piers Akerman. Writing, thankfully, only intermittently these days, Akerman’s latest offering, ‘What a pack of Burqas’, was apparently written in France where he has been touring. The article covers the whole gamut of Akerman’s lunatic rantings (he once actually attempted to blame Muslims for causing the 2009 Black Sunday fires in Victoria) ranging from protecting what’s left of Murdoch’s credibility in the UK to Muslim immigration in Europe and back again.

The propaganda at Murdoch’s – and Australia’s – only national newspaper, The Australian, is only marginally more sophisticated than his regional tabloids. Greg Sheridan, Dennis Shanahan and Janet Albrechtsen, the Ann Coulter of the Australian loony right, are among the most prominent racist ultra right-wingers that Murdoch employs. Naturally, they all also happen to be climate change denialists and supporters of pollutionists. Currently, most of them are busy trying to isolate Murdoch’s Australian propaganda machine from the fallout from the misdeeds of his UK propaganda machine.

The aims of the two arms of his propaganda empire, the UK and Australia, are the same; its just that the UK arm tends more toward using underhand means of pushing their message while the Australian arm uses blatant fear-mongering racism and lies about climate change to get to its objectives of ‘regime change’ in Australia.

Murdoch’s merchants of hate in Australia have played down the events that occurred in Norway two days ago. Few have condemned the atrocity and have only reported the facts. Nor have Murdoch’s propagandists properly condemned the reactionary violence against African immigrants by racist white youths who clearly have been influenced by the likes of Murdoch’s Australian propagandists.

MURDOCH JOURNO ANDREW BOLT FAILS TO CONDEMN FAR-RIGHT KILLINGS AND BOMBING IN NORWAY

Murdoch journalist and extreme right-wing Australian racist, Andrew Bolt, is always quick to condemn Islamic terrorism wherever it may occur. Of course, all terrorism needs to be condemned but for Bolt, such condemnation is also seen as an opportunity to push his hate spiel against Islam for his racist followers to feed on.

Yesterday, as news came in that bombing and shooting atrocities had occurred in Norway, Bolt was quick off the mark to blame Islamist extremists saying “Once the identity of the attackers becomes known, the consequences for Norway’s immigration policies could be profound”.

Well, the identity of the attackers did become known and it seems at least one of them, who has been arrested, is actually just like Bolt and his crew of haters – an Islamophobic far-right racist.

Once Bolt realised that the attack had not been perpetrated by Islamic terrorists, he began to report only the bare facts in a series of updates to his original post. All of the updates were noticeably devoid of any condemnation. To date there have been no further posts on the attacks at Bolt’s blog.

This is part of the Murdoch style of journalism in Australia. Whether or not there is phone hacking going on in Australia is as yet unknown, but certainly there is a distinct pattern of anti-Islamic and anti non-white racism running through most of Murdoch’s publications in Australia particularly in Sydney where another Murdoch racist, Tim Blair, operates, and in Melbourne which is Bolt’s hate base.

THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF MURDOCH?

It’s tempting to suggest that the scandal enveloping the Murdoch media empire may well see the demise of the world’s largest political propaganda machine. Unfortunately, the very fact that it is such a massive propaganda machine will likely ensure that his empire does survive – albeit needing some considerable time to recover.

Apart from being a massive world-wide propaganda machine, Murdoch himself wields much personal and political influence. There are many leaders around the world, past and present, who owe much of their success to Murdoch and his media empire. Even the current British Prime Minister, David Cameron, arguably, may not have got into power without Murdoch’s backing. And Tony Blair too might not have enjoyed such a large victory at the polls as he did in May 1997 without the last minute support of Rupert Murdoch. In the US, Murdoch’s long string of media enterprises, in particular Fox News, helped George W. Bush gain American support for the war against Iraq. Around the world, Murdoch’s newspapers and media served Bush’s cause and those of his allies including Tony Blair; Australia’s Prime Minister of the time, John Howard; Italy’s Silvio Berlusconi and Spain’s Jose Maria Aznar, all of whom benefited from Murdoch’s unwavering support for the war. Aznar even went on to become a senior member of the board of directors for News Corporation.

In the current crisis, Cameron initially supported Murdoch in the hope that it would all be just a flash in the pan and, after a few smaller heads were made to roll, all would be well again. Cameron supported Murdoch’s push to buy up all of Britain’s BSkyB media company but, in the wake of the growing crisis and the now obvious fact that it isn’t simply going to go away, Cameron has now joined the political call from Britain’s other major parties for Murdoch to abandon his plans to take over BSkyB which will be a major blow for Murdoch.

As the crisis deepens and it’s becoming apparent that the practice of phone hacking was far more widespread than initially thought, many are wondering how far the practice did extend and to what extent were senior and top managers aware of what was going on or even approved or, worse still, had instigated the practice. Did Murdoch himself know or approve of it? He’s hardly likely to admit it if he did though if he’s hauled up to front an inquiry and denies it and then is subsequently found to be a part of the practice then that surely would be the end of him.

Whether it comes to the demise of Murdoch himself remains to be seen. Murdoch has enough personal wealth to ensure that he will be very comfortable for the rest of his days; however, doing business is his obsession and he wouldn’t last very long without the fix of doing deals so I’d suggest that he’ll fight this all the way – even if it’s just for the thrill of it. Whether he wins or not is another matter.

In Australia, where it all started for Murdoch, his newspapers are relatively safe. His flagship paper, the nationwide The Australian, has all but ignored the crisis on the other side of the world, as have his regional and city papers. All of them seem to be reporting only the bare facts of what’s happened with very little comment or opinion being aired.

For his rival newspapers, the Sydney Morning Herald in Sydney and The Age in Melbourne, it’s a different matter. Both have been giving the emerging stories full headlines though the intensity of reporting and commentary has now dropped off a little – at least for now.

A world without Murdoch’s propagandists in it, however, is still some way away though the next few months will likely see some interesting developments that will see them pull their horns in.
Heads will roll; it’s going to be interesting to see whose.

MURDOCH JOURNALIST, GREG SHERIDAN, DISPLAYS HIS RACIST CREDENTIALS.

In a lengthy article last Saturday in The Australian titled ‘How I lost faith in multiculturalism’, Greg Sheridan finally showed himself to be the racist that we always knew he was. Of course, having ranted against Islam in the past, usually when discussing the war against terrorism, we already knew that he was a racist. But in those circumstances he usually denied being racist by saying that his rants were directed against extremist Muslim, not moderate Islam. But now he has finally come out against Islam generally thus displaying his true racist credentials. At one point in his article Sheridan relates how he witnessed a white Australian women being verbally abused and then spat on. He explains that the men who abused this woman were of ‘Middle Eastern appearance’ inferring that because they were Middle Eastern they must have been Muslims and so, therefore, were behaving offensively because they were Muslims. As historian Robert Manne pointed out in response to Sheridan’s hate piece, if Sheridan had replaced the words ‘…of Middle Eastern appearance’ with ‘…of Jewish appearance’ then one would have a quote worthy of something that may have been found in Julius Streicher’s Nazi newspaper Der Stürmer. With this disclosure of his racist attributes, Sheridan now joins the ranks of those other leading Murdoch racists; Andrew Bolt of the Herald Sun in Melbourne, and Tim Blair and Piers Akerman of the Daily Telegraph in Sydney. Andrew Bolt, Australia’s premier racist, couldn’t help himself but pass comment over Sheridan’s racist rant and Manne’s response. Bolt called on Manne, who also happens to be Jewish and who is also Bolt’s arch nemesis, to apologise to Sheridan saying Manne ‘demeans’ both Sheridan and the Holocaust. As it happens, while Sheridan deserves to be ‘demeaned’ on the basis of his declaration of being a racist, Manne actually didn’t mention the Holocaust. In the course of his racist rant, Sheridan mentioned that many of the Right wing parties in Europe that were now anti-Islam had in the past been anti-Semitic but have now changed their stance. He says, for example, the French National Front party had “recently ditched the anti-Semitism and now stands primarily against Muslim immigration and Islamic influence”. The reality is that many of those white European Australians that are now opposed to Islam were once also anti-Semitic themselves like their peers in England. One wonders if the likes of Murdoch’s journos in Australia weren’t once amongst them. Like in Orwell’s 1984, for the likes of Bolt, Sheridan, Blair, Akerman, et al, they occasionally need to change their enemy but they always must have an enemy. The right-wing in the post war years still hated Jews even in Australia but, like leopards, they can never change their spots but the can attempt to hide them. Once a racist, always a racist.

THE NEOCONS CONTINUE WITH WARMONGERING LIES.

One would have thought that, after the exposure of the lies told to get a war going against the people of Iraq, that the neocons would have pulled their head in and at least be a little more subtle about how they try to con the world into a war against Iran. But, no; the ‘Iraq has a nuclear weapons program’ meme that we were so familiar with as Zionist Israel and their neocon supporters got the US and its allies to invade and destroy Iraq has for some time now morphed into ‘Iran has a nuclear weapons program’.

Yes, the same shameless neocons are using exactly the same rhetoric and propaganda to get the US to bomb and destroy Iran as they did with Iraq.

In his latest piece of warmongering nonsense, William Kristol writes in the Weekly Standard:

…the finger-wagging of the international community won’t stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. The non-chest-thumping Obama administration, it is increasingly clear, is not going to stop Iran either. The only country that may not be resigned to a nuclear Iran is Israel. Its government, at least, disdains resignation to the fact that nefarious regimes sometimes choose to change behaviour, but, gee, sometimes they don’t.

And then, just to reinforce the notion of ‘existential threat’ to Israel – and the rest of ‘us’, whoever ‘us’ are – he adds:

After all, this worldly attitude didn’t work out too well for the Jewish people—or the rest of us—in the last century.

Kristol also demonstrates the extent to which the neocons have been able to successfully con the State Department into believing Iran has a nuclear weapons program. He quotes State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley who, referring to Iran’s recent statements about its new-found ability to speed up enrichment, said that there was no need for faster centrifuges and that:

We have to conclude that Iran has nefarious intentions with its nuclear program.

Just how Iran’s wish to speed up its nuclear power generation and medical isotopes program demonstrates a ‘nefarious intention’ is conveniently not explained. However, by making such a statement, the inference that Crowley and Kristol are trying to con us into believing is quite clear. Crowley and Kristol are hoping that ‘speeding up enrichment’ will be interpreted as ‘enriching uranium to weapons grade’ rather than simply producing enough low grade material for electrical power generation and medical purposes much quicker.

With regard to Kristol’s assertion that ‘Israel may be the only country not resigned to a nuclear Iran’, this is pure nonsense. Israel cannot act militarily against Iran without US connivance. If Israel were to strike Iran and then Obama claimed that the US were ignorant of Israel’s plans, then one would know that the biggest lie of all had been told.

Israel needs Iran out of their equation for a Greater Israel. With Iran unable to support Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and Syria, Israel knows it will be able to deal the blow it has always dreamed of against the Palestinians and their Arab neighbours in order to realise their dream of a Greater Israel that includes the Gaza Strip, south Lebanon up to the Litani River, and the West Bank.

The lie that Iran has a ‘nuclear weapons program’ is central to Israel’s expansionist hopes and dreams.

The Zionists of Israel and their neocon supporters, led by the likes of William Kristol in the US, together with other neocons around the world will keep pushing the lie until eventually the administration will cave in to their demands and attack Iran.

And the rest of the world will not be heard despite the noise we will create.

WHY WOULD ‘CRIKEY’ APOLOGISE TO TIM BLAIR FOR SOCK-PUPPETING HIS OWN BLOG?

The chances are that that is exactly what Blair has likely been doing – and I know from whom he probably learnt the lesson from.

Back in early 2007 I had differences of opinion with an extreme right-wing racist and Zionist by the name of Dylan Kissane. I managed, by pure chance of timing, to catch Kissane red-handed sock-puppeting at my blog and then making comments at his own blog about the fact that I deleted his sock-puppet comment.

The problem for Kissane was that I did indeed delete the comment that he refered to and which he reproduced on his own blog. However, the only way that Kissane would have known that I deleted his comment and also have known what the comment was word for word, was if he had written and posted it himself because I deleted it AS SOON AS IT ARRIVED AT MY DESK. No more than a few minutes would have passed between the comment being posted and me deleting it. There is absolutely no way that Kissane could have known that I deleted a comment and known what it said verbatim unless he had posted it himself – which, of course, the lying little loon denied.

After confronting him about it, he conceded that he had been responsible for the fraud. As a consequence of his fraud being discovered Kissane withdrew from serious blogging.

Kissane is a wannabe academic doing a PhD at the University of South Australia though he is based in France. He has no credibility as an academic and is a proven manipulator of the facts and downright liar. He is also a friend of Tim Blair to whom he occasionally feeds stories that Blair uses at his blog.

Did Blair sock-puppet his own blog? More than likely knowing his association with the likes of others who also practice this deceit.

MURDOCH’S NEOCONS AT THE ‘WEEKLY STANDARD’ DESPERATELY SPIN WIKILEAKS ‘COLLATERAL MURDER’ VIDEO RELEASE.

Yesterday, Wikileaks, a website dedicated to publishing classified documents and films, released a video showing the murder and wounding of Iraqis including two Reuters news workers who were murdered and two children who were wounded. Altogether, some twelve people died in the incident.

The film clearly shows Iraqis being blasted by machine-canon fire from a helicopter gunship. While arms are mentioned there is little indication that they were armed. Certainly after the initial attack, when a van appeared to take away the wounded, there was no sign of any arms yet the gung-ho American murderers decided to open fire on them anyway and then laughed after. Later, an American tank arrives on the scene and blithely drives over one of the dead Iraqis.

Despite the clearly murderous intent of the Americans operating the guns who can be heard almost pleading for permission to open fire on a clearly badly wounded Iraqi and the van that had arrived to evacuate him, Weekly Standard propagandist, Bill Roggio, attempts to spin the murders as being a legitimate action claiming that everything that happened was within the military’s Rules of Engagement and that the attack on the van that arrived to rescue the injured Iraqi was legitimate on account of it not being marked as an ambulance. But what is really disgusting about Roggio’s attempt to spin the incident is the way he accuses Wikileaks of merely sensationalising the event in order to attract media attention and internet traffic to their website.

And these people want the world to be like them??

New York Times writers Noam Cohen and Brian Stelter must have read the Weekly Standard piece by Roggio as well. Cohen and Stelter have authored an article in today’s NYT entitled ‘Iraq Video Brings Notice to a Web Site’.

Their article is both a classic piece of distractive propaganda with a dash of sour grapes thrown in. Rather than talk about the horrendous crime that has been committed, the writers attempt to shoot the messenger - in this case Wikileaks - by suggesting that Wikileaks is merely attempting to big-note itself by releasing the film.

I say; 'Good on 'em!' If the mainstream media won't report important stuff like this, then let Wikileaks do it for them.

A NEW BLOG JUST FOR BOLT THE ULTRA RACIST

This blog, set up to expose Murdoch’s lies and propaganda empire, has lately been concentrating on just one of Murdoch’s propagandists; Andrew Bolt. Because it is now intended to document Bolt’s racism to the point where racial and religious vilification can be proved, a new blogspot has been set up specifically for the job.

Occasional comments on Bolts day to day column at the ‘Herald Sun’ site will be made at the new blog. Mostly, these will be some of the more pertinent comments that I have made to posts that he has refused to publish as well comments relating to the progress on building a case against Bolt. Naturally, not all the evidence will be presented at this new blog for obvious reasons but as we trawl through Bolt’s archives and make the appropriate discoveries they will be documented at the new blog which will be called, appropriately, Andrew Bolt: Ultra Racist. Readers are welcome to leave comments though, if you are a right-wing racist, don’t bother.

MURDOCH’S AUSTRALIAN RACIST PROPAGANDISTS: DO THEIR BLOGS CONTRAVENE AUSTRALIA’S RACIAL VILIFICATION LAWS?

Murdoch’s three standout racist propagandists, Andrew Bolt of Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper, and Tim Blair and Piers Akerman of Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’, all of whom run predominately xenophobic and Islamophobic racist blogs, may well be doing so in contravention of Australia’s racial vilification laws by allowing ‘serious contempt for, or severe ridicule of a person or groups on the grounds of race’ to be published and communicated at their blogs.

While in New South Wales the vilification laws apply only to race, in Victoria where Andrew Bolt operates, the vilification laws apply to both race and religion. However, civil or criminal suits may be brought against Blair and Akerman who operate in Sydney, from Victoria for both racial and religious vilification though any action brought against Bolt from NSW can only be brought for racial vilification, not religious.

Andrew Bolt’s blog is clearly the most outrageous of the three overtly racist blogs, and, because he is in Victoria where the vilification laws apply to religious as well as racial vilification, the opportunity to prosecute is much more feasible with a greater likelihood of success. If a favourable judgment against Bolt can be achieved then it is likely to stop Blair and Akerman continuing with their racial vilification without having to resort to legal action against them to stop their vilification.

The way all three of these vile racists work is quite smart. Instead of directly making seriously vilifying comments themselves, they use often blatant innuendo and inference to expound their message in their postings and then allow their followers to comment using increasingly ferocious racially and religiously vilifying attacks against the objects of their hatred that have been suggested in the postings. Bolt, Blair and Akerman are very careful not to make any seriously vilifying statements themselves but nonetheless get their message across by citing from others that clearly do have serious vilification intent.

However, while they are very careful not to incriminate themselves, they may well still be committing an offence by allowing commentators to go far beyond that which Bolt, Blair and Akerman are prepared to go in terms of blatant vilification by allowing such comments to be published, control of which is solely their responsibility since all three blogs are moderated. It is the fact that they are moderated which may make these racists liable for prosecution.

It would be an interesting test of the vilification laws were a suit made against any of these people and, to get the ball rolling, I’ll have their archives trawled for the most blatant posts and comments and then see what a barrister makes of it all. It may come to nought. But, on the other hand…

ANDREW BOLT: OBSESSED BARKING MAD RACIST

Australian ‘Herald-Sun’ Murdoch columnist and propagandist Andrew “my best friend was an Aborigine” Bolt has become increasingly – and disturbingly – obsessive about race in Australia. His outburst yesterday was about Kim Collard, an artist who identifies as Aboriginal. Since Collard’s mother is part Aboriginal, and, therefore, also identifies as Aboriginal, but has a white father, Bolt denies that Collard is Aboriginal because of his pale colour and ancestry. Bolt infers that Collard has had the Aborigine ‘bred out of him’ as the old White Australian rednecks would once say, and that, as a ‘white’ person, is not eligible for any of the various concessions, prizes, awards, etc., that are available to Aboriginal people.

This is not the first time that Bolt has denied people their Aboriginal identity. Back in March 2009, Bolt questioned the Aboriginal identity of a Queensland politician, Leeanne Enoch, who was vying for a seat in the Queensland parliament. Then later in April 2009, Bolt again question the Aboriginal identity of artists and writer Bindi Cole, Annette Sax and Tara June Winch. And then there’s his piece in November last year that criticised the Aboriginal identify of Perth model Emily Cattermole, who is the grand-daughter of WA indigenous politician Ernie Bridge whose Aboriginal identity Bolt also questions. At the end of his article he has the audacity to write this piece of hypocrisy:

“Could we stop obsessing about racial differences almost invisible to the naked eye, and almost washed out by generations of mixed ancestry? It makes us look a little bit, well, racist.”

Well, yes it does, Bolt; but the only one obsessing about it is you and your coterie of obsessed racist bloggies!

But Bolt’s obsession with race doesn’t end just with the non-question of racial identity. He also denies that there were any stolen children and denies that there was ever any policy of ‘breeding the Aborigines out of existence’.

Bolts racist obsession with Aborigines, however, extends way beyond Aborigines. Bolt also obsesses about other races, religions and cultures which are all part of his overall racist paranoia. Asylum seekers that arrive by boat regularly fall into Bolt’s racist sights mainly because they tend to be non-white. While Bolt refers to these people as ‘illegal immigrants’, he says nothing of the hundreds of real illegal immigrants that arrive here every day on tourist and work visas who come with absolutely every intention of staying on beyond the expiration of their visa’s, most of whom are white Europeans who, of course, Bolt has no problem with.

Bolt’s biggest fear is Islam. Bolt doesn’t see Islamophobia as racist. For Bolt racism does not go beyond biological and physical differences between peoples. Culture and religion, the vilification of which most people see as a form of racism, are fair game for Bolt as he attempts to justify himself and, at the same time, avoid the racist tag by denying that being anti-Islam is racist.

Another popular target for Bolt’s over the top racism is black, coloured and non-whites that are embroiled in street violence. Today Bolt has written about gang violence in Melbourne where he highlights the ethnicity of those involved in such a way as to suggest that these people are innately violent because of their ethnicity and because they are immigrants. He even criticises the police for not describing the ethnicity of offenders though this kind of criticism is confined only to the ethnicity of non-whites.

Over the years, all of Bolt’s racism has revolved around either non-whites or Islam or both. All are vilified including Somalis, Samoans, Maoris, Lebanese, Indians, Afghans, Iraqis, Iranians, and, of course, Aborigines.

Bolt has become so fixated about the inferiority of races and cultures that are not Anglo-white European he has actually stated that ‘white Australian racism is a myth’. He’s forgotten, very conveniently, about Australia’s ‘White Australia Policy’, a policy which only ended in 1975.

Bolt recently told me in an email that his best friend when he was in year seven at school was an Aborigine. Given Bolt’s frothing at the mouth seething hatred of Aborigines, one can be forgiven for finding this totally impossible to believe. People like Bolt often deny their racism by telling people that ‘their best friend’ is actually someone of a race that they are vilifying.

Perhaps, if Bolt detests a multicultural Australia so much, he should find somewhere else to live. Certainly Australia will be a far better place without him. Either that or he should seek clinical help for his obsessive compulsion and delusional complexes about racial superiority. First, though, he needs to cease his denial of being a rabid racist and recognise that White Australians are as ‘ethnic’ as anyone else here in Australia and are amongst the most racist of all races that are in our multicultural society.

ULTRA-RACIST ANDREW BOLT LOSES SCORES OF BLOGGIES OVER STANCE ON HOMOSEXUALS

Traditionally, the extreme right-wing is overtly intolerant of homosexuality. However, beneath the veneer of their homophobic views, there can be found as many gay and lesbian right-wingers as there are on the left. The difference usually is that most gay and lesbian folk on the left are quite open about their sexuality, whereas those on the right tend to be far more covert about it through fear of being ostracised from their right-wing network of friends and associates. This is particularly so in the case of high profile right-wingers who are gay or lesbian. ‘Coming out’ for a right-winger is far more difficult for the right-winger than it is for the left-winger.

Apparently, Tony Abbott, well known for his Roman Catholicism and his so-called ‘moral values’ recently made some remarks that were interpreted as being ‘homophobic’. Murdoch propagandist, Andrew Bolt of the ‘Herald Sun’ Murdoch newspaper in Melbourne, made the mistake of commenting on Abbott’s apparent homophobic remarks.

As an extremist right-winger Bolt should have steered well clear of the debate.

But he didn’t.

Bolt’s main problem is that he’s painted himself into a corner. Bolt cannot condone and support Abbott’s homophobic remarks because he will then be seen as the quintessential hypocrite on the matter of homosexuality.

Part of Bolt’s extreme racism is his paranoid fear of Islam; his Islamophobia. As part of the rhetoric and propaganda that Bolt uses as he sets out to demean and vilify Islam in his column is his frequent reference to Islam’s intolerance to homosexuals which Bolt says Islam, especially in Iran, demonstrates by regularly hanging gay men. (In fact Iran does not hang men just because they are gay; they hang men who have committed sexual crimes, usually rape, against minors and who happen to be gay.) While Bolt’s Bloggies, who are mainly racists and Islamophobes themselves, were quite happy to support Bolt in this context, it seems that they are not happy with Bolt’s stance on homosexuality generally and particularly when it contradicts the views of their new political hero Tony Abbott. As a consequence, many of Bolts Bloggies have expressed extreme disappointment in Bolt for condemning Abbott’s stance.

This from Len of Coolangatta sums up much of the mood of Bolt’s Bloggies:

You know what Andrew, I think that you have become far too self indulgent. You were once the good guy in the campaign against the global warming people. The huge gangs of Bloggers went with you, and now you toy with us. We have followed your family holidays and came back to you when you came back...............now we are your playthings.

Bolt has since put a lot of column space between his piece about Abbott’s views and his latest comments avoiding at all cost the subject of homosexuality in a effort to regain a lot of lost ground from his Bloggies.

MURDOCH’S ISLAMOPHOBIC ULTRA RACIST, ANDREW BOLT, SUPPORTS TARGETED ASSASSINATIONS.

Andrew Bolt of the Melbourne, Australia, ‘Herald-Sun’ newspaper (owned by who else but Rupert Murdoch), wrote in his column today that “If Israel killed Mabhouh, it was… because of the threat he posed to the lives of Israelis today”.

Based on Bolt’s logic, one could argue that, if it’s OK to assassinate people that are a threat to you, then it would be OK for Hamas to assassinate, say, Gabi Ashkenazi, Israel’s chief of staff, on account of the threat he poses to the lives of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Not only does this sorry excuse for an Australian support the notion of targeted assassinations, but he actually criticises those that speak out against the practise. If this Murdoch-paid racist lunatic had his way, he’d no doubt be happy to extra-judicially execute all of the West’s enemies – particularly if they happen to be Muslims and better still if they’re in Australia if the way he relentlessly demeans and vilifies Islam in Australia is anything to go by.

Bolt wrote: “Fraser’s [referring to Malcolm Fraser, a former Australian Prime Minister] suggestion that Jews are just trading on the Holocaust dead is morally despicable, and bordering on anti-Semitism.”

What Fraser actually was quoted as saying was, “the Jewish state could no longer use the Holocaust as an excuse to justify state-sanctioned murder, and criticism of its policies should not be dismissed as anti-Semitism”.

Clearly, Fraser was not referring to ‘Jews’ generally as Bolt asserts but to the ‘Jewish State’, the Zionist State, whose apparatchiks have indeed invoked the Holocaust to justify killing their enemies claiming that such killings are aimed at preventing another ‘holocaust’. The reality, of course, is that Mabhouh, who certainly did buy arms for Hamas, was not doing so in order to create another ‘holocaust’ but simply to defend Palestinians in the Gaza Strip from the Israelis that frequently invade and indiscriminately kill civilians in the Gaza.

Fortunately, most Australians don’t go along with Bolt’s Islamophobic and other blatantly racist nonsense, but it’s unfortunate that the vocal few that do support him and several others of Murdoch’s propagandists are the ones that are bringing Australia’s reputation as a successful multicultural society into disrepute.

RACISTS UNITE AT BOOK LAUNCH TO DENY WHITE AUSTRALIAN RACISM EXISTS.

Andrew Bolt, together with a motley collection of Australia’s leading racists and white racism deniers that included Janet Albrechtsen, John Stone, John Herron, David Flint, Bob Carter, Gavin Atkins and John Howard, gathered in Sydney last night to celebrate race theoretician Keith Windschuttle’s third attempt at denying that there was institutionalised racism against Aboriginal people. Bolt was there to launch Windschuttle’s latest book on the subject entitled ‘The Fabrication of Aboriginal History, Volume 3: The Stolen Generations’.

Bolt, who thinks that white Australian racism is a myth, (I kid you not! See here) and his racist mates have embarked on a concerted effort to prove that, not only are white Australians not racist and never have been, but that white Australians, who Bolt has jingoistically labelled ‘Skips’, are actually being racially discriminated against by non-whites and non-Australian born foreigners in Australia.

What is emerging is a co-ordinated and somewhat transparent effort by extreme right-wing racists to promote racism in Australia by claiming that white Australians are the real victims of racism. Using all the propaganda power they are able to muster, they have attempted to marginalise non-white immigrants by accusing them of coming to Australia to deliberately target white Australians and the white Australian way of life. One of their ilk, the paranoid racist propagandist Piers Akerman, another racist that thinks the stolen generation is a myth, even accused foreign-born Islamists in Australia of having deliberately lit the Victorian bushfires of last year.

The one positive that comes from their racist rantings is the fact that, rather than denying that white racism exists in Australia, the denial itself is so obviously racist that it reinforces the notion that white Australian racism does exist and, indeed, is as strong today as it was in the old White Australia Policy days of yesteryear.

Fortunately, the main bulk of Australia has moved on from the views of these racist dinosaurs and can see through their racist propaganda. Their racist views do not go anywhere near representing the vast majority of real Australians – whether they were born here or not and regardless of the colour of their skin, their religion or their culture.

It isn’t often you get nature lessons of that quality without leaving the house.

The idea of a blue heeler tearing a pigeon apart and having one very upset child witness it is one thing. To then say the bloody killing and having a traumatised daughter 'was excellent' is something else.

For Blair to then relate the story to the public as some kind of positive thing is something else yet again. It tells us a lot about both Blair and his friend.

THE TWISTED LOGIC OF ANDREW BOLT’S RACISM.

Australia’s leading racist, Andrew Bolt of the Murdoch-owned Herald-Sun in Melbourne, wrote today that ‘racist thugs are obviously targeting Australian’s, and not Indians’.

Bolt bases this nonsense on an article in ‘The Age’ newspaper also in Melbourne which said:

People born overseas are less likely to be assaulted than those born in Australia according to new Australian Bureau of Statistics data.
The national survey found that those born in Australia were more than twice as likely to be the victim of a physical assault.
It showed an assault rate of 3.6 per cent for Australian-born people, or 445,000 victims, compared with an assault rate of 1.7 per cent, or 82,000, for those born in other countries.

Bolt neglects to mention that nowhere in the report was there any mention of the assaults being racially motivated, only that the statistics come at a time when the debate over assaults against Indians still rages. In fact the report went on to say that:

77 per cent of female victims - as opposed to half of males - knew the offender, with just under half of the assaults occurring in the home.

But for Bolt all this translates to Australian-born Aussies being attacked by foreigners. His assertion that ‘racist thugs are obviously targeting Australian’s, and not Indians’ is not supported at all by the evidence he himself is quoting.

Bolt hopes that his readers will just take his word for it without thinking about the reality. It’s amazing how many ways Bolt tries to use racism in order to actually promote racism. Inferring that foreign-born Australians are ‘racist thugs’ is actually a racist slur in itself. But then, everyone knows what a racist thug Bolt actually is.

AUSTRALIAN MURDOCH PROPAGANDIST GETS ON THE ‘LETS BOMB IRAN’ BANDWAGON.

Australian neocon writer and Murdoch propagandist Greg Sheridan has advocated that Israel should bomb Iran though he concedes that there is little chance that they actually will. He claims that “there is really no doubt that Iran has a program designed to produce nuclear weapons.” The reality is; there is a great deal of doubt. There is no actual evidence at all that Iran has any nuclear weapons program. All that there has been is rhetoric and propaganda. Even the US intelligence community in 2007 couldn’t find any. And nor have they found any since. However, this hasn’t stopped the war drums from beating ever louder. And Greg Sheridan is now playing his part in beating those drums.

Israel will not be attacking Iran unilaterally though there is a good chance that it will make the first strike by launching a small raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities which will then be followed up by a full-on assault against Iran’s defences and government institutions by the US with the claim that the US has had no alternative but to support Israel in order to prevent any retaliatory strike by Iran against Israel.

Because of the possibility of retaliatory strikes via Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Israel is likely to launch pre-emptive strikes against both at the same time as it strikes Iran’s nuclear facilities. In this way it will seem as though Israel has acted unilaterally to start the war and then the US has had to join in to protect Israel. This lets Obama off the hook from the point of view of American public opinion which would never support a US pre-emptive strike against Iran but would support a strike if it were to prevent Israel being attacked by Iran.

In order for this ploy to work, it must be made to look as though Israel had attacked Iran without US prior knowledge. This is where the plan comes unstuck. There is absolutely no way that Israel could possibly launch an attack against Iran without US connivance. Israel would need to have massive amounts of military jet fuel to mount such an operation; fuel that it would have to order from the US. Since military jet fuel has a limited shelf life, there is no way that Israel could order fuel discreetly in small batches for stockpiling. Bunker-busting bombs would also need to be ordered from the US. Then there is the problem of trying to get permission to overfly various countries in order to get from bases in Israel to targets over Iran and have tanker refuellers circling over foreign airspace to refuel the strike aircraft. This would be impossible without the US knowing about it.

The bottom line is: Any strike against Iran, even if it seems that Israel struck the first blow, would be a joint assault by the US and Israel.

Sheridan writes: “The truth is that history is littered with states behaving irrationally and pursuing irrational ends, and doing so in often self-destructive ways.” Never a truer word has Sheridan written!

MURDOCH COMPANY NEWSPOLL CAUGHT FUDGING THE NUMBERS BY ROY MORGAN RESEARCH

Garry Morgan, executive chairman of Roy Morgan Research, one of Australasia’s most respected pollsters, has recently accused News Ltd’s Newspoll owned by Rupert Murdoch of deliberately allowing Newspoll figures to be published knowing them to be in error. In other words; Newspoll have been caught fudging the numbers to suit their political agenda.

According to Gary Morgan, in a poll conducted early in November last year Newspoll claimed that coalition support had jumped 7% while ALP support had dropped 7%. Such a large margin of change, coupled with another figure showing the Consumer Confidence Rating going up in contradiction to what one would normally expect given Newspoll’s numbers, should have rung alarm bells that in turn should have led to another poll being taken straight away said Gary Morgan. This did not happen and News Ltd went ahead and published the false figures.

Furthermore, not only were the ‘rogue’ figures published, but figures that showed strong support for Labor regarding their policies about ‘boat people’ refugees were not published.

Morgan said, “That pollsters and those that publish the polls have a responsibility to report the facts and the truth”. He went on to say that, “Polls and their publishers should not seek to set the agenda by selectively releasing polling data”, and that, “Polls and their publishers are powerful but with that power comes responsibility”.

One wonders how many others of Newspoll’s polls have been fudged.

Groups of peoples distinguish themselves from other groups of peoples not just by virtue of skin colour or physical features but also by virtue of their culture and religion.

It is a blatant piece of racism, the racism of culture and religion.

Last Monday, George Monbiot, writer and commentator with the UKs Guardian newspaper, launched a website called http://www.arrestblair.org/ which intends to raise money for a bounty to be paid to any one who attempts a citizen’s arrest of former UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

So far, the appeal has raised some £8,830.00 in just a few days with Monbiot himself kicking it off with a donation of £100. Any one attempting a bona fide citizen’s arrest, successful or otherwise, will be entitled to one quarter of the kitty as it stood at the time of the arrest and providing the arrest is reported in a bona fide news reporting service and also providing no one is hurt in the process of the arrest – including Blair. All the details are available at Monbiot’s http://www.arrestblair.org/ site.

Already the right-wing media blogs, especially the Murdoch press, are inadvertently promoting Monbiot’s venture. With a certain degree of irony, one of Murdoch’s most outrageous propagandists, Tim Blair of Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, has already written a column in his extreme right-wing opinion blog which provides a link directly to Monbiot’s site together with commentary of what it’s all about. Of course, while Tim Blair is attempting to ridicule rather than promote Monbiot’s endeavours in the delusional belief that all of those that visit Tim Blair’s blog are actually supporters of his right-wing garbage, he has actually done Monbiot a great favour since the vast majority of visitors to Tim Blair’s site go there merely to be entertained by his coterie of bloggies with their disgraceful racial slurs and blatant over the top extreme right-wing nonsense.

Monbiot has put his money where his mouth is and deserves all the support he can get. While Monbiot has no illusions about how successful any arrest is likely to be, he at least is bringing to the attention of the world the crimes that Tony Blair has committed and ensuring that Tony Blair will not be able to rest easily ever again until he has answered for his crimes.

MURDOCH’S AUSTRALIAN RACIST BLOGGERS GO QUIET ON INDIAN KILLING AND ATTACKS.

Normally, Murdoch’s racists on his newspapers in Sydney and Melbourne, Tim Blair and Piers Akerman at Sydney’s Daily Telegraph and Andrew Bolt at Melbourne’s Herald Sun, wouldn’t be able to resist making some comment about the recent spate of attacks on Indian in Melbourne. But, while it is true that Bolt is on leave, both Blair and Akerman are very active with their blogs in Sydney yet both have been strangely silent on the issue.

Last Saturday four unidentified men set fire to 29-year-old Jaspreet Singh in Melbourne while a little over a week ago 21-year-old Nitin Garg, a student also in Melbourne, was stabbed to death by an unknown assailant or assailants.

Police were very quick to insist that the attacks were not racially motivated despite the fact that none of the culprits have yet been caught. Police offered no evidence to support their assertion. The Victorian government, anxious to keep relations sweet with the Indian government in order to protect a very lucrative education industry offered to overseas students, likewise have insisted that the attacks were not racially motivated. Julia Gillard, Australia’s deputy prime minister, has also denied any racial motivation for the attacks.

Clearly, the attacks have created a massive diplomatic problem which, just as clearly, the Australian government wants to maintain control of. While here in Australia we like to think we have a ‘free’ press, there are times when it is in the government’s interest to ask the media to limit discussion of sensitive issues like this to simply the facts without proffering too much opinion and certainly not to aggravate the problem by allowing it to be discussed on the mainstream newspaper’s blogs – particularly the right-wing racist ones run by Blair, Akerman and Bolt, et al.

These people have done enough damage to Australia with their racist outbursts over the years. Perhaps it’s time they should be silenced for good. The world would be a far better place without these people shoving the hate on the rest of us.

ULTRA-RACIST ANDREW BOLT CAUGHT ATTEMPTING DECEIT.

The Murdoch propagandist and racist, Andrew Bolt of Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper, has been caught yet again attempting to deceive readers with an utterly dishonest narrative relating to Aboriginal history and the removal of children for racial purposes. Bolt claims that the film, ‘The Rabbit Proof Fence’, was a fraud. He says that there was no attempt by the ‘West Australian chief protector responsible for their removal, Auber Octavius Neville, to “breed out the colour” by marrying off half-caste Aboriginal girls to whites as depicted in the film’ endorsing historical revisionist Keith Windschuttle’s view.

Yet we know for a fact from letters from A.O. Neville that he was concerned about half-caste girls marrying full-blooded Aboriginal men. Even Windschuttle in this instance concedes that Neville’s concern was to support a program to “breed out the colour”. Bolt denies there was any program to “breed out the colour” yet the letters from Neville held by the West Australian government show that there was.

MURDOCH PROPAGANDIST TIM BLIAR TWISTS THE TRUTH – YET AGAIN!

In his column today Tim Bliar told his readers that: “Taliban maniacs have killed more than 2600 people in Pakistan in the last couple of years”. He attempts to support this assertion by linking to an article which, if one reads, actually says: “…Lahore has frequently been targeted by Taliban militants waging a two-and-a-half year insurgency that has killed more than 2,600 people in Pakistan.” It does not say that the Taliban have killed 2600 people; it says the Taliban insurgency has resulted in the deaths of 2600 people. Included in that number are Taliban fighters themselves who have been killed by both CIA drone bombing attacks and by Pakistani forces. While Pakistani military claims of over 1400 Taliban killed during anti-Taliban operations during May and June 2009 is likely exaggerated, Taliban casualties over the last two years would account for many of the 2600 people killed. At least another 700 of that figure include civilians also killed by the CIA in drone bombing attacks and written off as ‘collateral damage’.

While I have little time for the Taliban’s ideology and its culture of summary executions and suicide bombings, I have even less for the hypocrisy and arrogance of the US and their allies who go to foreign countries and indiscriminately kill tens of thousands of their inhabitants in the name of ‘freedom’, ‘democracy’ and ‘Big Business’, and even less still for the lying scum in the Western media that support and perpetuate these wars.
The real ‘maniacs’ that are doing the killing in Pakistan are the US and their allies. The Taliban have resorted to extremist behaviour in a desperate effort to get the foreigners to leave their lands alone. The more the US and their allies push them, the more extreme they’ll become, but one thing is for sure; the US and their allies will never be able to defeat them.

IT SEEMS TONY ABBOTT ISN’T A CLIMATE CHANGE SCEPTIC AFTER ALL.

Last night on the 7.30 Report, Tony Abbott told Kerry O’Brien: “Look, we all want to do the right thing by the environment. This is not about climate change science; (Emphasis added) this is about the mechanism for appropriately dealing with it.”

Tony Abbott is likely to be the very last Howardite stuck-in-the-last-century religious-right paleo-conservative leader that the Liberal Party is likely to ever have. It is for that reason that the Liberal Party will quite possibly fade into oblivion as Australian politics begins its shift from the old unions-dominated Labor versus Liberal mode of the twentieth century to the Green realist versus New Labor frame of the twenty-first century.

The majority of Australians, regardless of party politics, are now green-leaning. They might not vote Green but they certainly are far more interested in the environment today than ever they were before. Most accept, despite the recent nonsense about a few scientists trying to fudge the numbers, that climate change is a very real problem that the world cannot afford to ignore.

What the recent spat amongst the Liberals was about was not whether or not the environment needs fixing as the likes of the extreme right wing pundits like Andrew Bolt, Tim Blair and Piers Akerman would have us believe, but, rather, what is the best way of going about it. Bolt, Blair and Akerman, et al, don’t believe there is a problem that needs fixing up; Abbott, as he inferred last night on the 7.30 Report, seems to think we do need to “do the right thing by the environment”. What Abbott is against – as are many Australians – is the idea of paying polluters to stop polluting us. Where Abbott is wrong, however, is in his motivation for objecting to the money being spent. For Abbott it’s not about compensating polluters but about raising a tax to pay for it.

For many Australians who also object to the tax to compensate polluters for the cost of not polluting, it’s about the basic principle of being forced to pay people not to pollute us anymore. Rather than pay the polluters to stop polluting, we should be making them pay a penalty to the people for continuing to pollute us. The money about to be paid to them for not polluting us any more would be far better spent on research and capital for alternative non-polluting renewable energy resources and finding ways to increase their efficiency by improving the technology and decreasing their costs.

We should be looking after our long term interests rather than simply worrying about the immediate costs to businesses and jobs. Sooner or later, and looks like sooner rather than later the rate the world’s growing at the moment, we’re simply going to run out of the stuff we’ve relied on so far. At the beginning of the last century we thought we had an inexhaustible supply of oil and gas; now, we’ve realised that we are quickly running out of it and are frantically running around in search of more. Eventually, though, it’ll all be gone. We’ve got no alternative but to find other ways. If we don’t pay now to find alternatives, the costs in the future will be impossible to meet.
Abbott wants businesses to profit today without any of the costs for tomorrow. God, so Abbott believes, will look after tomorrow.

ANDREW BOLT: RACIST

At his blog today the racist and pro-Pollution propagandist Andrew Bolt once again confirmed his racist credentials by denying indigenous identity to a person on the basis that they didn’t appear to be indigenous.

Andrew Bolt, who for years has supported the notion that Australian aboriginality should be “washed out by generations of mixed ancestry”, would prefer that Australians that identify themselves as indigenous but visually do not appear to be, should not be referred to as ‘indigenous’ even if that is the choice of the person in question. For Bolt it’s all a matter of appearances. He writes: “Could we stop obsessing about racial differences almost invisible to the naked eye”, adding, “It makes us look a little bit, well, racist.”

Considering this not the first time Bolt has denied an indigenous person their identity based on their appearance, one can safely say that the only person “obsessing” here is Andrew Bolt; and that’s because he is, well, a racist – and more than just a ‘little bit’.

In another post today, Bolt has confirmed his support for fascist and racist ideologies as he tells us that "Europe is pushing back" against Islam by banning minarets on Swiss Mosques. The law had been pushed through via referendum prompted by the fascist and racist extreme right-wing Swiss Peoples Party.Bolt supports these discriminatory and racist ideas. Spires and towers of Christian churches, of course, are not a problem.

POLLUTIONIST TIM BLAIR’S DESPERATE DISHONESTY

Tim Blair’s dishonesty is glaringly transparent in his column at Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’ today as he attempts to hoodwink readers yet again.

Quoting from a ‘New York Times’ report, he writes:

A flotilla of hundreds of icebergs that split off Antarctic ice shelves is drifting toward New Zealand and could pose a risk to ships in the south Pacific Ocean, officials said Tuesday.
The nearest one, measuring about 100 feet tall, was 160 miles southeast of New Zealand’s Stewart Island, Australian glaciologist Neal Young said …
But he cautioned against linking the appearance of the bergs in New Zealand waters to global warming.

As a result of cherry-picking this article Blair is attempting to infer that the ‘bergs in New Zealand waters has nothing to do with global warming.

However, if one reads all of the NYT article Blair links to, one will find what the article was actually inferring:

Icebergs are routinely sloughed off as part of the natural development of ice shelves, but Young said the rate appeared to be increasing as a result of regional warming in Antarctica. ''Whole ice shelves have broken up,'' he [Young] said, as temperatures have risen in Antarctica, where they are up as much as 5 degrees Fahrenheit (3 degrees Celsius) in the past 60 years.

Young ‘cautioned against linking the appearance of the bergs in New Zealand waters to climate change’ only inasmuch that climate change had nothing to do with why they were actually in New Zealand waters and that the reason they were in New Zealand waters had far more to do with ‘weather patterns and ocean currents as on the rate at which icebergs are calving off Antarctic ice shelves’.

While Blair and his fellow Pollutionists have deluded themselves into believing that climate change is some kind of hoax which once exposed will allow them to continue polluting our world, Blair’s dishonesty reflects the desperation the Pollutionists have resorted to as the world moves a little closer to realising that ‘climate change’ and ‘global warming’ is a real threat to all of mankind, a threat that we cannot afford to doubt.

The fact is; even if there is no ‘global warming’ or if ‘climate change’ is not man-made, the practical steps that mankind are taking anyway to find alternative, sustainable and renewable energy resources can only be good for the planet no matter who you believe or who proves to be right or wrong.

If the sceptics and deniers are wrong, then the planet is doomed unless we do something about it now. And, of course, if they are right… well then, we end up with a better planet anyway. Can we afford to take the risk?

The real argument isn’t so much about ‘global warming’ and ‘climate change’; it’s about managing diminishing non-renewable resources in the face of an exponentially increasing demand for energy and profits at the expense of our future. The sceptics and deniers are only interested in the financial costs of doing something about it. They wish to protect the Pollutionist businesses that produce non-renewable energy and, at the same time, not be burdened with the costs of compensating Pollutionist businesses through taxes for obliging them to stop polluting.

The pursuit of wealth has in the past led to wars and death on a global scale. The world cannot afford to now allow the Pollutionists to perpetuate global misery that ultimately could lead to our demise.

You have to wonder what it is that makes extreme right-winger’s become pro-Pollutionists. Andrew Bolt, Tim Blair, Piers Akerman and other right-wing extremists of their ilk around the world have become obsessively intent on preventing the planet from becoming an environmentally nicer place for us all to live in. Not content with merely objecting to governments taxing their carbon producing big business net-worked clients, these people are actively pro-Pollution.

To prove the point – and how desperate is this – they even protest the introduction of power-saving light globes by scurrying around trying to find any smidgen of evidence to present to consumers that will deter them from using these energy-saving devices. Andrew Bolt in his column today got so desperate about these devices that he actually published a piece that attempted to deny that energy-saving light globes are not as good as they are cracked up to be on the packaging. The fact is; they’re probably not, but, despite Bolt’s ludicrous nonsense, they are still a lot better than the ones they’re replacing both in terms of economy and energy efficiency. But, if we had Bolt’s way, we wouldn’t have them at all.

These right-wing pro-Pollution propagandists are being paid to bring down the world-wide green-leaning movement. Instead of encouraging the development of renewable energy resources, they are actively discouraging it as a waste of time and money. They want us to continue using non-renewable resources like coal, oil and gas. They argue that the world’s economy revolves around these resources and that we should continue to enrich ourselves by mining them and selling them to the highest bidder. In order to substantiate their view that this practice continue, the pro-Pollutionists attempt to argue that, contrary to scientific opinion, the world is not experiencing any ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’ that can be attributable to man’s excessive use of non-renewable energy resources and that, rather, any ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’ that mankind is experiencing on the planet is actually due to natural phenomena.

One of the pro-Pollution propagandists other arguments for the world remaining Pollutionist are that the costs of researching and developing alternative renewable non-polluting energy resources are too prohibitive. They argue that the currently available renewable energy resources are nowhere near efficient enough to meet our ever-growing energy needs. They are, of course, in this regard, quite right. But is the answer simply not to bother continuing to develop alternative renewable energy resource systems and just carry on using non-renewable energy resources until it runs out? Regardless of whether or not using carbon-based energy resources are causing ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’, there is absolutely no doubt that we are polluting the atmosphere with toxic fumes that are, at the very least, creating an unhealthy environment for life on our planet particularly those that live in or near cities. In other words, ‘climate change’ and ‘global warming’ are not just the only concerns we have about the planets future; our own health is at risk as we slowly choke ourselves into oblivion by the continued use of carbon fuels.

Ignored entirely by the pro-Pollutionists is the problem of what we do once the non-renewable resources actually do run out. Our use and reliance on coal, gas and oil has multiplied almost exponentially since mankind started seriously using it less than a couple of hundred years ago. Back then we believed we had an all-but inexhaustible supply of the stuff; now we’re battling to find enough to keep us going for today let alone for the future when our kidz and their kidz will be needing more and more of the stuff. As the world’s population increases, so our demand for energy will increase. There will come a point sooner or later, however, when there is simply none left and future man will be cursing their forebears for not having had the foresight to do something about it when they had the opportunity.

Some scientists and environmentalists are wondering if it’s not actually already too late and that we should have begun looking seriously at finding ways of using renewable energy resources when we first realised back in the second half of the last century that we don’t have an inexhaustible supply of non-renewable energy resources. Hopefully, it’s not too late and mankind will ignore the Pollutionists money-centric arguments about continuing to use resources that will inevitably run out one day, and that we will make a determined effort to find a way of living that doesn’t pollute and is sustainably limitless.

Regardless of the arguments about ‘climate change’ and ‘global warming’, going ‘green’ can be nothing other than good for all of mankind across the planet no matter what way one looks at it. The ‘live for today and to hell with tomorrow’ creed of the money-grubbing pro-Pollutionists should be ignored. The world collectively must re-organise itself to prepare for the creation of a sustainable planet and move away from the pseudo-nationalistic, money-centric, war-mongering, resource-squabbling, people-ignoring world that we live in today.

Whether you go along with ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’ or not, or regardless of whether you think ‘carbon trading’ and ‘compensating polluters’ is a good thing or just another money-grabbing idea for big-business, we cannot afford to turn our backs on the reality of diminishing energy resources and a world which we are slowly but undeniably polluting to death. The world must change its fundamental outlook on life; the alternative is that mankind will ultimately be responsible for its own demise.

The Australian pro-Pollutionist and ultra-racist Andrew Bolt has sunk to new and desperate lows in his efforts to malign green-leaning Australians. In his blog yesterday at Melbourne’s online ‘Herald-Sun’, Bolt actually attempted to equate green-leaning Australians with the Nazis of Germany.

This is but part of Bolt’s delusional effort to recast the ‘right-wing’ label – which Bolt is happy to use for himself – as some sort of force for good which he somehow believes he now represents. However, ever since the last century, the ‘right-wing’ label has always been associated with Nazism and Fascism. This has not deterred Bolt from continuing to cast himself as right-wing (if for no other reason than he would never be able to call himself ‘left-wing’) but, at the same time, because he is now pro-Zionist, he does not want to be cast in the same mould as the Nazis and, because Bolt is also an Islamophobe and is apt to calling Muslim governments and Jihadist fighters ‘Islamofascists’, he does not want to be cast in the same mould as Fascists either.

Bolt thinks he’s found a way out of his conundrum; he’s now pushing the line that Nazis and Fascists weren’t right-wing at all but, in fact, were ‘left-wing’. He seems to think that because the Nazis called themselves ‘National Socialists’ that this is proof enough of their ‘left-wing’ credentials. Bolt has now taken this a stage further and is now equating green-leaning Australians (left-wing) with Nazis (who he sees also as ‘left-wing’) based simply on the Nazis own green-leaning tendencies.

Bolt needs to seek urgent help if he actually believes this nonsense because, if he does, he really is slipping over the edge into delusional obsession. But the worst of it is this; there are actually a few, thankfully only a very few judging by the number of responses at his blog, that are dumb and gullible enough to believe this garbage.

The Australian ultra-racist Andrew Bolt in taking his usual swing at President Obama has managed to show his true colours when it comes to the Japanese by criticising Obama for bowing too low when meeting the Japanese Emperor yesterday. Bolt then reminds his coterie of mindless followers that it was the Japanese Emperor’s ancestors that killed hundreds of thousands of Americans but neglects to mention that Japan is now one of America’s greatest Pacific allies.

Bolt also points out that Obama has also grovelled (but not bowed) to the Saudi king when they met. Bolt hastens then to add that the Saudi king is the leader of an autocratic regime. Again, Bolt neglects to mention that Saudi Arabia has been, and, indeed, still is, one of America’s greatest allies in the Middle East next to Israel of course.

Bolt then displays his hypocrisy by criticising Obama for not having bowed to Queen Elizabeth the Second of England despite England being, as Bolt puts it, America’s ‘greatest ally’. Bolt neglects to mention that just over a couple of centuries ago Queen Elizabeth’s ancestors were slaughtering Americans as they attempted to put down the American Revolution. That may be water under the bridge but apparently the events of the Second World War aren’t.

Bolt’s racism knows no bounds. As the above shows, Bolt holds nothing but contempt of anything non-white. He is anti-black as demonstrated by his utter contempt for Obama, and make no mistake here; Bolt hates Obama because he is black, not because he is a Democrat, he hates Asians as manifested by his comments regarding the Japanese and recent comments he has made regarding Tamil boatpeople, and he hates all things Islamic as evident in his assertions regarding the Saudi’s coupled with remarks he has made in the past about Islam.

Yesterday, Bolt attempted to paint himself as the caring racist. Bolt wonders when commenting about benefits boat people might or might not get when they arrive in Australia, if “we’d stand by and let even asylum seekers here - including the able bodied - go without a cent to feed themselves or their children? To be forced, if they can’t find work, to live instead by begging or stealing?”

One can rest assured that Bolt was not thinking of non-white Asian boatpeople when making this remark; he was considering the far more acceptable (to him) hordes of white European illegal immigrants that arrive here weekly by airline on visitor visas obtained under false pretences by lying about their true intentions for coming here.

Robert Manne recently said that scepticism is a good thing whereas ‘denialism’, as in Holocaust denial for example, is unhealthy. Manne made the remark in order to demonstrate that those that deny ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’ should more appropriately be called ‘climate change denialists’ or ‘global warming denialists’ rather than ‘climate change sceptics’ and so on.

Tim Blair, a climate change denialist himself, has taken offence to this. Apart from denying he’s a denialist, Blair writes:

This seems a rather clumsy and emotional shame-by-illogic tactic from someone who claims to base his arguments on science and reason. Disagree with Manne about future weather patterns? Well, that means you're an apologist for the Third Reich, or as bad as one.

Interesting attempt at duckspeak is this. Blair is almost, but not quite, trying to imply that Manne reckons if you deny climate change then you’re denying the Holocaust. Blair scrapes out of it by adding the rider; ‘or as bad as one’.

In terms of analogy, Manne is quite right to say that ‘climate change denialism’ is like being a Holocaust denier, but, of course, they are not the same as Blair attempts to imply – being one does not necessarily mean your are the other as well.

The problem stems from the fact that, while most ‘climate change’ denialists like Blair, et al, are not Holocaust deniers; it does seem that most Holocaust deniers are also climate change denialists. And, naturally, the likes of Blair and co would want to be lumped in with them.

Their way out of the conundrum is simply to accuse Manne of smearing the victims of the Holocaust – an ignorant and tasteless insult considering that Manne had lost his own grandparents to the Holocaust.

But, such tasteless ignorance merely demonstrates the depths to which the climate deniers will go in order to peddle their denialist nonsense.

Australian Liberal MP Kevin Andrews, an ex-immigration minister in John Howard’s government famed for his role in the notorious Dr. Haneef Affair in which Andrews insisted that Haneef, an Asian Muslim, be kicked out of Australia despite being found to have played no part whatsoever in any ‘terrorist plot’ that a relative was involved in, is now, again, demonising by inference Muslims that are in this country. Andrews is now calling for a debate on what he calls ‘Muslim enclaves’ in Australia.

Andrews call for the debate comes at a time when the debate about immigration and boatpeople is raging over the plight of a boatload of Sri Lankan refugees, all Tamil, who were recently rescued by an Australian ship when their own vessel was in imminent danger of sinking while on their way to seek asylum in Australia.

Andrews was speaking with Alan Jones, the ultra right-wing Sydney radio broadcaster and well known fellow Australian Islamophobe and racist agitator. Andrews told Jones that to “have a concentration of one ethnic or one particular group that remains in an enclave for a long period of time is not good”.

Andrews views are, of course, supported by other ‘journalists’ and ‘commentators’ in Murdoch’s Australian media stable. Greg Sheridan, Foreign Editor for ‘The Australian’ newspaper, unashamedly demonises the current crop of asylum seekers as being ‘illegal immigrants’ ignoring altogether the fact that are not immigrants since they are not actually in Australia yet, and that there is absolutely nothing illegal about seeking asylum in Australia.

Naturally, Murdoch’s other propagandists working at some of Murdoch’s metro newspapers are also mounting a determined attack against these asylum seekers and Muslim immigration generally. Three of Murdoch’s most outrageous racist bloggers, Piers Akerman, Tim Blair and Andrew Bolt, have for days since the so-called ‘crisis’ began, all used their newspaper’s online hate sites to foment anti-Islam and anti-Asian racism.

Akerman in Sydney uses the propaganda of fear in his rhetoric endorsing the notion “that possible terrorists could slip into the nation among the asylum seekers the RAN is busily ferrying to our shores”. Akerman then leaves it the usual mob of bloggie followers that comment at all three blogs.

Tim Blair, also in Sydney, who’s not over-keen on actually writing too much himself preferring instead to cut and paste suitably cherry-picked quotes from other peoples work to make his point (that way, if it proves to be wrong, he can always blame someone else) works in a similar way to Akerman letting his coterie of predictable bloggies actually say what he might otherwise be sued for saying.

Andrew Bolt, Murdoch’s Melbourne propagandist, follows the predetermined demonising game plan but attacking Rudd from a slightly different angle saying: “Kevin Rudd’s dilemma is this: he must order the Sri Lankans to be forcibly evicted off the ship and into Indonesian jails, thereby looking the utter bastard and hypocrite. Or he must relent and bring the asylum seekers to Christmas Island, signally to people smugglers everywhere that all they need do now to get here is to do as these boat people did - send out a distress signal when near some Australian ship, after first disabling their own boat.” Bolt’s bloggies respond predictably.

For the sake of the those asylum seekers now in distress as a result of being used as the racists political football, and for the sake of others that wish to seek asylum in Australia, I hope that Rudd does the right thing for our fellow humans and gives them the refuge they seek here in Australia without any further delay and that we as Australians put an end once and for all this nonsense of abusing people who are different from us.

Murdoch propagandist with Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, Piers Akerman, seems to think that the war in Afghanistan “is about the Taleban, terrorism and the Afghan people”.

He needed reminding what it was really all about so I wrote this in response:

Akerman, your inane rhetoric about the West, including Australia, being in Afghanistan to free the Afghan people from ‘medievalists’ is baseless propagandising nonsense.

The war in Afghanistan was never about the Taliban or the Afghan people; it was and has only ever been about gas pipelines and regional hegemony. Al Qaeda and their involvement in 9/11 were merely used as a casus belli to start a war against the Taliban and al Qaeda that had been planned long before 9/11.

To believe that Bush, Blair and Howard actually cared about the Afghan people is utterly delusional. The only ‘terrorists’ in Afghanistan as far as the Afghan people are concerned are the Western allies that have been attacking and killing Afghani and Pakistani civilians in their thousands.

It’s time for Australians to ignore your warmongering rhetoric and propaganda and wake up to the geo-political realities of what’s really going on in their name.

AMATEUR LOONY RIGHT-WING BLOGGER BECOMES SEMI-PROFESSIONAL LOONY RIGHT-WING BLOGGER.

A few weeks ago I told how the myriad of right-wing bloggers are inter-linked with each other and then all link back to the mainstream media right-wing blogs run by the Murdoch propaganda empire thus forming a seemingly large network of blogs which, while it might seem extensive and well read, is actually not so much read by a broad readership, but just by each other feeding off themselves.

I mentioned how many of them had aspirations of becoming part of the mainstream media as ‘journalists’ following in the footsteps of the likes of Tim Blair, a propagandist blogger with Murdoch’s Sydney Daily Telegraph.

Well, it seems one of those amateur bloggers I mentioned, J.F. Beck who runs, or ran, a blog called RWDB, which apparently stood for Right Wing Death Beast, (right-wing, death and beast all being words closely associated with each other when describing fascist and fascist-like people) has made it, well, not quite big-time, but is now writing for some online blog called ‘Asian Correspondent’; not quite mainstream media, but Beck has probably deluded himself into thinking that it is.

One of his first pieces at ‘Asian Correspondent’ is a parting shot at a left-wing blogger who Beck says is a ‘lame response’ to the likes of Islamophobes Tim Blair and Andrew Bolt and their mainstream blogs.

Beck is a pedantic-style propagandist which means he ignores the mains issues and points of any given argument by honing in on some tiny grammatical or factual error made by anyone on the left. He then, regardless of whether or not the error has actually anything to do with the pain point of the debate, attempts to blow the error out of proportion in an effort to demean or trivialise the debate and the person who is making the argument.

Beck seems to be obsessed with writer Antony Loewenstein. One mistake from Loewenstein, no matter how trivial, and Beck is on to it like a shot for some twisted reason. If Loewenstein says the Israelis killed ten Palestinian civilians when in fact they’d killed nine, Beck would be there to expend hundreds of words demonising Loewenstein to the hilt for making such a ‘massive’ error of fact, but, of course, Beck would ignore entirely the fact that Israelis killing even one Palestinian civilian would be a crime.

As Beck himself says, what he is best known for is “Accuracy – my ideological opponents (progressives) get all upset when the facts prove them wrong”. Most times accuracy of facts has little to do with the ideological aspect of debate; while facts should be corrected when needed, they often are totally irrelevant to the subject of the debate.

After having spent the last few days exposing Tim Blair of Sydney’s Daily Telegraph and his tiny but vocal coterie of bloggies as a deceitful and lying bunch of racists over a faked and demeaning video, Blair and the same bunch of right-wing goons that support him are now extracting as much mileage as possible out of Prime Minister Rudd’s remarks that refer to the latest boatload of asylum seekers that have been turned back to Indonesia as being ‘illegal immigrants’.

Blair has pounced on the remark claiming that, because the Prime Minister has said they are ‘illegal immigrants’ then they, indeed, must be. The racist comments that then follow are staggering in there blatancy. There’s this from one of Blair’s more lunatic fringe bloggies who calls himself “Habib of Wilston’ who writes:

BTW, I wonder if any of the vocal advocates are going to volunteer to house the new crop of potential pyros? I trust they’re not going to relocate them to around Kinglake.

This is a rather sick reference to another of Murdoch’s racists, Piers Akerman, also of the Sydney Daily Telegraph, who, during the Victorian bushfires earlier this year, outrageously accused Muslim ‘terrorists’ of deliberately lighting them.

Then there is this nauseating comment from one who calls himself ‘boy on a bike’:

Regarding the Refugee Action Collective, I have a simple suggestion that I am sure most Blairites will support.
It’s called “one-in, one-out”.
That is, for every refugee we let in, we kick out one member of this ratbag collection of soap-dodging dole bludgers.
Even if only one refugee per boatload ends up in a productive, private sector job, that will still be an improvement on allowing the mung bean eating crowd to remain. And I’m sure the refugees won’t smell as bad (even after being crammed into the hold of a fishing boat for a week in the middle of summer).

And Maggie of Childers comes out with this ignorant and blatantly racist nonsense:

It pings me off to know that our Defence Force Men and Women have been and are putting their lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan while we are affording shelter to men who have abandoned their country and our ADF.
Send them back post haste. Do not allow them into Australia, if they are not willing to defend their own Country and have no respect for our borders or laws I doubt they will be willing to defend our Country.
What are you thinking Mr. Rudd or is that question too hard?
Do you think for one nano second they will be loyal citizens?

Perhaps if Australia respected Iraqi and Afghan borders and not invaded and killed their peoples, there wouldn’t be the problem in the first place.

Hate to be pedantic, but first, one can't be an immigrant, legal or otherwise, unless one is actually here. Second, just because Rudd has been quoted as saying these people are 'illegal immigrants', doesn't make it so; Rudd might be the Prime Minister but he is not a judge and has no jurisdiction to make any decision about their legal status. These people are simply refugees who wish to come to Australia and they don't pretend to be anything else. They are not illegal immigrants’ because, apart from anything else, they’re not actually here.

People that arrive here by airline on tourist or business visas with the intention of staying here beyond their visa requirements are illegal immigrants. People that come here by rickety boat, or by whatever other means, but with no paperwork at all and seeking refuge are simply asylum seekers. If they then check out as genuine asylum seekers – which the vast majority do – then they get a protection visa and from there can apply for permanent residency or citizenship.

What’s the problem with that?

MURDOCH PROPAGANDIST CAUGHT PEDDLING DECEIT.

Tim Blair, Murdoch propagandist and blogger with Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, strutted his Islamophobic credentials yesterday by presenting at his blog a video made by MEMRI, the notorious neocon propaganda organisation that specialises in blatant lies and anti-Palestinian propaganda.

The video purports to show a Hamas-produced kidz show depicting how Palestinian kidz are taught to hate and offer themselves for martyrdom. The inference is that this video has been made by Hamas but had been subtitled by MEMRI. The propaganda, however, was so transparent that when I pointed out the transparency, (the storyboard that was part of the show was written in English) Blair and his coterie of bloggies quickly tried to cover Blair’s embarrassment by highlighting the now apparent stupidity of it and then claiming that it was all just ‘extremely smart satire’.

It most certainly was not ‘extremely smart satire’; it was extremely transparent propaganda and there was nothing at all smart about it or the comments from the racist Islamophobic followers of Blair’s blog that followed my comments there.

Methinks Blair protesteth far too much!

Now he’s dedicated a whole segment in his column in trying to wriggle out of his deceit and, at the same time, attempt to belittle me. Blair is now attempting to claim that the video is a work from 'creative types' designed for our entertainment. Blair and his followers have a very sad and sick sense of humour if they find this sort of stuff 'creative' entertainment.

The more you wriggle Blair, the more transparent is your deceit.

Blair, the most deceitful person on the internet and, to use his own words, it is a crowded field.

Blair seems to be getting really desperate to avoid embarrassment; he's added an update to his piece about the faked MEMRI tape and has succeeded in embarrassing himself even further.

It seems that everytime he puts finger to keyboard on this subject as he tries harder and harder to wriggle out of it, he ends up shoving more and more of his foot into his mouth.

Face it Blair; no matter what way you spin it, you've exposed yourself as the deceitful little Islamophobe that you are. The tape is a sick piece of entertainment - and you're just the sick little person to show it. Murdoch should be really proud of you.

One always knows when one has hit a raw right-wing nerve; the degree of rawness is directly proportional to the amount of words they expend in trying to cover up the raw nerve and wriggle out of their predicament.

In Tim Blair’s case, he’s found it necessary to issue ‘three’ updates to his original piece that tried to cover up his faux pas of presenting a sick but fake MEMRI tape as a Hamas kidz program. (Actually, it’s only two updates, but Blair, so absorbed in trying to prevent his foot from going deeper into his mouth, has lost count.)

Perhaps I’ll expend a few words just to demonstrate how Blair and the other bloggers on the extreme right work in these sorts of cases.

A few right-wing bloggies that flit between the myriad of right-wing blogs have assembled at Blair’s blog to provide him with much needed support. Most have made multiple posts there already, as can be seen, in some sort of effort to make it look as though there are more of them than there actually are. Many are well known throughout the rightwing blogosphere and tend to pop up everywhere as part of the Israel Lobby propaganda machine supporting platoon of bloggies.

One particularly nasty extreme right-wing Zionist thug in their ranks, who calls himself ‘geoff’ on Blair’s blog, is Geoff Pahoff. Pahoff was responsible for this exceptionally disgusting piece of hate speech about the old, blind and wheel-chair bound Palestinian Sheikh Ahmed Yassin who was murdered in the Gaza Strip by the Israelis:

I celebrated wildly when that filthy bag of puss [sic], ‘the old blind wheel-chair bound spiritual leader’ finally kissed what was left of his miserable fanny and did the world the enormous favour, albeit somewhat forced, of departing from it for all eternity. Obsessive hatred like this is not confined to Pahoff. A fellow traveller of his, Noelene Konstandinitis, another equally obnoxious extreme right-wing Zionist that used to do the rounds of the right-wing blogs, including Blair’s, once came out with this gem of super hatred:

These are the sort of sick people that Blair needs around him to support his efforts of creating the illusion that they are many – they are not many at all. There are only a very few them but all, as can be seen when one visits Blair’s hate site, are very vocal. But hey; Blair needs all the support he can get - even from the deranged and delusional (David Elder wants to get Zeeva David from NCIS to 'put me out of my misery!!??) that gather like vultures at his blog.

It seems Blair has seen the need to resort to sarcasm in order to wriggle out of his predicament. His dedicated followers have succeeded only in highlighting Blair’s Islamophobic obsessions by virtue of being even more Islamophobic than he is.

In typical right-wing propaganda style, Blair and his band of predictable attack dogs have attempted to distract from the original argument by making ridiculously pedantic observations, ad hominen attacks and insults but the fact remains that Blair used the video to deceive readers and ridicule Palestinians. It was a blatant piece of anti-Palestinian propaganda.

The situation between Palestinians and Israel are bad enough as it is and, indeed, propaganda is used by both sides to indoctrinate kidz and to teach them about violence and death, but the use of this particular video, a video produced specifically to demean, ridicule and inflame already heightened tensions by instilling even more hatreds, is simply a disgusting act of racism.

Blair's racism should not go unchallenged.

THE MURKY AND DECEITFUL WORLD OF MURDOCH-LINKED RIGHT-WING BLOGS

As well as Murdoch’s mainstream media blogs, by that I mean major newspapers that employ professional propagandists who euphemistically call themselves ‘journalists’ and who run online blog columns, there exists a peripheral world of amateur bloggers who support Murdoch’s professional propagandists. These blogs are directly linked to via the mainstream propaganda blogs and who then, in turn, link to each other.

In the main, these minor right-wing bloggers consist of wannabe ‘journalists’ in search of their big break into the professional mainstream media world of blogging. Extreme right-wing blogger, Tim Blair of Murdoch’s ‘Sydney Daily Telegraph’, for example, is an Islamophobic racist and extremist Zionist supporter who has made the leap from amateur blogger to become one of Murdoch’s professional propagandists. To the right of his column, appropriately, there is a blogroll which links to a whole range of right-wing blogs, including other mainstream right-wing blogs within Murdoch’s propaganda empire, and also to other amateur but more extremist right-wing blogs that has Blair’s favour. They, in turn, return the favour by constantly posting at his ‘Sydney Daily Telegraph’ blog under various names and avatars. They then also go on to post at each others blogs thus creating the illusion that the right-wing has some broad appeal through the blogosphere whereas in reality there are only a handful of them that have evolved to make it appear as if there are many more.

Part of the right-wing’s blogging modus operandi is to indulge in what has become known in the blogging world as ‘sock-puppeting’ whereby a commenter creates more than one avatar who will usually post under some identifier name which is not the posters actual name, or post anonymously. Usually they make multiple postings using their various identifiers or anonymously and may even use a mixture of both as in when, having made a post using an identifier avatar, they then make a follow-up post using another avatar or anonymously, that is in full support of the intial post. This may be done using two, three, and sometimes more identifiers. The idea is to create the illusion that that there is far more support for a particular argument than there really is with the intention of intimidating those that argue against them.

One of the blogs on Blair’s blogroll is J.F. Beck who runs a small extreme right-wing Zionist blog that seems to specialise in little more than criticising anti-Zionist left-wing Australian-Jewish writer Antony Loewenstein. Beck in the main, however, only ever seems to able to criticise Loewenstein for the occasional grammatical errors he makes rather than actually criticising any argument Lowenstein is proffering, believing somehow that, because Loewenstein makes the occasional grammatical error, that his entire philosophy must therefore also be wrong. Beck is never able to rebut, refute or offer viable counter argument to the substance of whatever Loewenstein writes but, nonetheless, Beck’s faithful handful of supporters, all three of four of them, then launch into a tirade of abuse, insults and ad hominen attacks against Loewenstein without any of them actually being able to directly counter any of Loewenstein’s arguments. Basically, Beck simply cuts and pastes something that Loewenstein has written – preferably something with a grammatical error in it – and then feeds it to his faithful few bloggies who then rip into it in a vain attempt to ridicule Loewenstein for the errors but who never actually argue the point that the error is in.

Now, one normally wouldn’t be in the slightest bit bothered by such blogs because they have such a tiny audience who mostly are already converted to the cause to the point where the blog is simply reduced to a chat room for, in this case, right-wing extremist frothing-at-the-mouth Islamophobic Zionists. However, when they get linked to a blog like Tim Blair’s in a mainsteam Australian newspaper, these otherwise non-entity blogs start to get a wider audience and, since most people that go to Blair’s blog are generally to the right already, these blogs that he links to can wield a little more influence that they actually deserve.

I recently visited Beck’s blog (I won’t link to it; I wouldn’t want to encourage anyone to waste their time visiting it) and found the sort of nonsense noted above. My comments certainly stirred up a hornet’s nest of three or four of his bloggies that immediately morphed into about seven or eight of them as they each pulled on their ‘sock-puppets’ for some multi-posting that didn’t even bother attempting to disguise themselves. After a while Beck decided that I had got the better of them and was making them look fools (which really wasn’t that difficult) as they began to contradict and repeat themselves, and so he switched on his moderation function and then simply deleted my comments.

On Beck’s blogroll there is a link to another right-wing blog, Iain Hall, which, while supporting extremist Zionism, specialises more in Australian nationalism and its associated racism with Islam being the current culture to hate. Hall practices his deceit in another way. Rather than adopting the sock-puppet method of deceit, Hall prefers to re-write comments that dissent from his own. The ruse, of course, is quite transparent and is intended to deflect those that wish to comment from actually doing so by attempting to embarrass them. Naturally, in doing so, those that practice this plainly obvious deceit succeed only exposing themselves as deceivers while, at the same time, also exposing their arrogance.

These are just a few examples of the way the extreme right-wing Zionist blogosphere operates at it spreads its tentacles out from the Murdoch-owned mainstream media into the murky and deceitful world of blogs that Murdoch bloggers link to.

PIERS AKERMAN: IGNORANT MORON OR PRACTICED DECEITFUL LIAR?

Once again Murdoch propagandist, Piers Akerman, a blogger with the Sydney Daily Telegraph, has exposed himself for the racist that he is. In his rant yesterday Akerman once again laid into people who he calls ‘illegal immigrants’ but who are in fact asylum seeking refugees that have arrived in Australia by boat.

I pointed out to Akerman that these people are not ‘illegal immigrants’ and that as asylum seeking refugees they have every right under international law to come to Australia.

His response was this:

And Australia used to have an orderly migration program to deal with those wishing to come here - that’s has disappeared under Rudd.

This was my response in reply:

Ackerman, Australia has never had an orderly migration program for those wishing to come here. If it wasn’t turning Jews away after the war, it was the old White Australia Policy; once that had gone, it was having to deal with Asians fleeing countries that we had a hand in all but destroying; under Howard it was incarceration at any cost and using our Special Forces to prevent refugees from yet more countries we’ve had a hand in destroying from coming here.
Orderly migration program? What nonsense.

Akerman then displayed his either total ignorance on matters he claims to know something about, or, he deliberately attempted to mislead and deceive with this rubbish:

The Israelis seem to be protesting too much over the Swedish claims that the Israeli Defence Forces have been deliberately killing for the purpose of organ harvesting. The Israelis have been jumping up and down shouting ‘Blood Libel, Blood Libel’. Problem is; no one else is talking about ‘Blood Libel’, only the Israelis.

But here’s the hypocrisy; last year the Israelis neocon supporters at Rupert Murdoch’s ‘Weekly Standard’ were writing exactly the same kind of stuff about the Chinese as the Swedes are about the Israelis.

I don’t recall the Chinese carrying on about ‘Blood Libel’.

BLAIR AND BOLT: MURDOCH'S RACIST OBSESSIVES.

Both Tim Blair at Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’, and Andrew Bolt at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’, both Murdoch newspapers, seem to think that the things that define race, particularly Aboriginal race, begins and ends with skin colour, eye colour and facial features.

For Blair and Bolt ancestry has nothing to do with race if you are an Aborigine that doesn’t look Aboriginal. At that point you are a white person and therefore not entitled to any of the benefits that one may be entitled to if one were Aboriginal. Bolt and Blair believe that Aboriginality is only bona fide when measured against the sensory function of sight. In other words, you are only Aboriginal if you meet the perceptions of what they consider an Aboriginal person should look like.

One wonders if there were special entitlements to other races because of their race if the same kind of criteria applied. For example, if there were, say, scholarships being awarded to Jewish students by a Jewish endowment foundation, would the students only be eligible for those scholarships if they looked Jewish? What if they looked like white Europeans as, indeed, many Jews do and the only way of telling if they were Jewish or not is to simply ask them to provide evidence of their Jewish heritage?

If these Aboriginal people that do not look Aboriginal are able to provide evidence of their Aboriginal heritage then who could deny them of their entitlements any more than a Jewish person could be denied of their entitlement just because they didn’t look Jewish?

For Blair and Bolt racism is in the eye of the beholder - both literally and metaphorically.

In his column today Andrew Bolt writes: “Yale University, through sheer fear, decides to follow the rulings of the most censorious Muslim fanatics rather than defend the spirit of free inquiry that was once a glory of Western civilisation.”

ANDREW BOLT’S BLATANT RACIST HYPOCRISY

In his blog yesterday, 11 August 2009, Bolt wrote about the Reverend Peter Adam, who had been quoted as saying that, “All non-Aboriginal Australians should be prepared to leave the country if the indigenous people want that”, adding that, “If they stayed, they would have to provide whatever recompense indigenous peoples thought appropriate”. Bolt said that Adam was being “Not just racist, but divisive, naive and utterly impractical”.

Adam, of course, far from being ‘impractical’, was merely hypothesising to emphasise a point about how Europeans had abused Aboriginal peoples ever since arrival. Bolt in characteristic fashion has attempted to use Adam’s words in order to deflect his own racism by attempting to highlight what he believes, or what he’d like others to believe, is someone else’s racism.

Such transparent hypocrisy from Bolt is now commonplace but in this particular example it is far more pronounced.

In this case Bolt is accusing Adam or being racist because Adam has suggested that non-Aboriginal people leave the leave the country. However, only a few days earlier, shortly after the so-called ‘terrorists’ were arrested in Australia, Bolt wrote: “there are fundamentally two options before us. One is to ‘drain the pool’ - or slash Muslim immigration.”

‘Drain the pool’ and ‘slash Muslim immigration’ really is racist. It is also divisive, naïve and utterly impractical. Slashing Muslim immigration is akin to slashing Catholic immigration through fear of some IRA fighters coming to Australia or slashing Chinese immigration through fear of communists sneaking in.

Bolt thinks that asking non-Aboriginal people to leave is racist but ‘draining the pool’ of Muslims isn’t.

Make no mistake about who the racist really is here.

AUSTRALIA’S LEADING RACISTS: MURDOCH BLOGGERS AND THEIR BLOGGIES

Australia has always been a racist nation. Between 1901 and 1973 it even had a blatantly racist policy, generally known as the White Australia Policy, of excluding non-whites from coming to Australia. White Australia’s history of ill-treating its indigenous peoples is also well-known, and continues covertly even today. The racism of blood and biology has always been a part of white Australia’s past and it continues into the present.

But this last decade has seen the introduction of a new kind or racism; the racism of religion and culture, a racism that was first framed for the benefit of the public by Australian historian Robert Manne. Manne wrote his article, ‘Beware the new racism’, a year after 9/11. He observed how, soon after 9/11, the phenomenon of Islamaphobia had emerged within Australian society.

It wasn’t long before the two racisms merged. The so-called ‘war on terrorism’ has provided new grist for the Australian racist’s mill; an excuse to continue their racist rhetoric disguised as ‘anti-terrorist opinion’. The recent arrests of a so-called ‘terrorist cell’ in Melbourne have been heaven sent for Australia’s racists. It has provided them with the cover they need to voice their blatant and outrageous racist views.

Leading the racists on their new-found crusade against non-white and Islamic Australians are the likes of Murdoch propagandists Andrew Bolt of Melbourne’s ‘Herald-Sun’ newspaper, and Tim Blair of Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’.

Bolt’s column has featured a number of pieces about the arrests of the so-called terrorists in Melbourne. One, for example, is titled ‘Importing Trouble’ and another is titled ‘Time to talk about Islam’. No prizes for guessing where Bolt is going with these two pieces. The thing is with Bolt is, he’s not quite dumb enough to be directly racist; he does it, instead, by inference and then allows those bloggies that comment on his blog to do the rest for him. In doing so Bolt exposes his own racism and, of course, his bloggies don’t hold back expose their own racism which Bolt revels in.

‘Kerry of Brisbane’ responds to ‘Time to talk about Islam with:

Good points Andrew, especially point 5. Why do we bring people into the country who by culture and religious conviction are incapable of integrating with us. Islam is totally theocratic and has no teaching of “render to Caesar the things that are Caesars, and to God the things that are God’s” as we find in Christianity. And how many of them will submit themselves to civil authorities as “ministers of God for the common good”? And even so called “good Muslims” still carry the book that says they must fight (make jihad) until Islam is the only religion. It just cannot work.

Then there is ‘Neville’ who reckons:

Absolute crock of crap, they don’t fit in with a Christian country, piss ’em off! When they start to out these militants themselves, and kicking them out of the country, I will start listening to apologies. Till then, I believe they know about these Jihadists in their midst but choose to turn a blind eye. If you knew you had a murderer living next door would you turn a blind eye?

One of the characteristics of today’s modern fascists is their propensity to project their own fascism onto those they regard as ‘our’ enemies.

Most fascists these days don’t actually like being called fascists so today’s modern Western fascists, like ‘The Australian’ newspaper columnist, Janet Albrechtsen, is more than happy to call Islamic radicals ‘Islamo-fascists’ in order to deflect her own fascism from being noticed. It serves two purposes; first, it demonises those she is calling fascists and, second, it gives the impression that, because she is calling someone else a fascist, that she can’t be one herself.

The hypocrisy and the irony, however, though Albrechtsen can’t see it because she only sees things from her point of view, are utterly transparent. While she thinks she is exposing some ideology she calls Islamo-fascism, what she is actually doing is showcasing to the world her own racist Islamaphobia and fascist inclinations. She’s so arrogant that she thinks people are generally too thick to see it.

It’s a classic Murdoch propagandist trait. They all suffer from it.

Australian Murdoch propagandist and blogger Andrew Bolt of Melbourne’s ‘Herald-Sun’ newspaper has published a piece that links to the ‘read after death’ letter of 19-year-old British trooper Cyrus Thatcher who recently was killed in Afghanistan.

Bolt deliberately aims his piece at the right-wing bloggies that comment at his blog successfully stirring up pro-Western right-wing schmaltz to such an extent that it borders on vomitous to actually read. Any attempt at a dissenting view at his blog is immediately pounced on and, if it gets too close to the truth, Bolt simply refuses to publish it.

Read some of the comments. You have to wonder if these people are actually for real.

MURDOCH BLOGGERS: ‘CUT AND PASTE’ JOURNALISM OR PROPAGANDA BY SELECTED AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION.

Many of Murdoch’s foremost so-called ‘journalist’ bloggers have adopted the ‘cut and paste’ method of propaganda whereby they simply copy and paste large lumps of cherry-picked text that suits their argument and then publish only comments that support that argument. Every now and then they throw in an occasional dissenting comment just to make it look as though the right-wing support is from your ‘average reader’ thus giving the impression that their line is middle of the road public opinion when in fact it is extreme right-wing.

This kind of ‘journalism’ allows the propagandist blogger to cite other peoples work without having to take on of the journalistic responsibility for it. If it turns out to be wrong or misinformed or plain dishonest the propagandist then needs only to blame the writer and replace it with a correction, though, of course, most stuff that’s wrong or misinformed or dishonest will usually get through without being noticed.

Several of Australia’s right-wing bloggers use this method of propagandising. Take the Islamophobe and racist Andrew Bolt who blogs for Murdoch at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper for example.

Let’s have a look at the first three stories that come up as I open Andrew Bolt’s blog today. First we get this which waffles on about one of Bolts other pet hates – climate change and other assorted anti-green stuff. Notice how some 91% of the text is not his.

The next story down is this. He’ doing a bit better here; he managed to write almost 22% of the piece.

Then the third one in which he hops onto his racism hobbyhorse. In this piece Bolt manages to write some 36% of the piece himself. The rest is cut and pasted.

It doesn’t matter really what any of these pieces are about – suffice to say they are all a reflection of his right-wing thinking and they are all pieces that he mostly hasn’t written himself.

Tim Blair at Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’ does exactly the same – he cherry-picks a bit of text written by someone else and then surrounds it with a little of his own garbage. In this randomly selected piece Blair manages to personally scrawl a massive 43% of the words in the piece.

These pieces are usually designed to stir up their right-wing bloggies; those who share their extremist right-wing views and then some. Because they are mostly anonymous bloggies, they can get away with saying the most outrageous stuff; stuff that Bolt or Blair couldn’t get away with themselves but are quite happy to let others say it for them.

Place these people where they belong – they are propagandists; they are certainly not journalists nor do they belong in the blogosphere. They merely abuse the blogging world to peddle their sick racist and warmongering ideas.

HOW DIM-WITTED MURDOCH PROPAGANDIST DID IT IN FOR PALIN.

In the rush to protect Sarah Palin, the recently resigned governor of Alaska and 2012 presidential hopeful, a Murdoch propagandist has inadvertently made life even more difficult for her by trying to malign her detractors.

Australian Murdoch propagandist, Andrew Bolt, who runs a right-wing blog at Melbourne’s ‘Herald-Sun’, wrote: “When Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska, Leftist bloggers decided to slime her all over again, on the assumption that anything she did must be sinister.” Not content to simply say that ‘left-wing bloggers are trying to slime her’, Bolt is dim-witted enough to then actually quote those ‘left-wing bloggers’ repeating what he thinks is ‘slime’ and, not only that, links to the leftist bloggers sites. While all Bolt achieves on his blog is simply to whisk up anti-left sentiment and hatred among his die-hard regular core of right-wing bloggies that comment there, the left-wing bloggers that Bolt links to actually provide cold hard and very compelling comment and analysis as to why Palin really resigned – comment and analysis that is far more compelling than the argument that Bolt doesn’t even attempt to put up.

Palin, if she knew of Bolt’s blog, would be asking: “Who needs enemies when you have friends like Bolt?”

Well done, Bolt. Keep it up!

THE NEW RIGHT-WING PROPAGANDA: 'NAZIS WERE LEFT-WING THEREFORE ANTI-ZIONIST LEFTIES ARE NAZIS'.

As the Zionists of Israel drift further to the right and increasingly demonstrate how their racial and expansionist policies for Israel are parallel to the policies of Hitler’s Nazi Germany, the extreme right-wing in the blogosphere seems to have become confused and increasingly unable to distinguish their left from their right.

The main cause of their confusion is rooted essentially in the irony of history whereby those peoples who suffered most at the hands of the Nazis are the same people that are now causing the most suffering – and for exactly the same reasons – to others.

The extreme right-wing is quite happy to call themselves right-wing because, even if for no other reason, it distinguishes them from their mortal enemies, the ‘Left’. The problem arises however, when it is realised that in calling themselves ‘right-wing’ they share the same ‘right-wing’ label as Hitler does and, because most of today’s modern right-wing are actually Zionists or Zionist supporters, they don’t, for obvious reasons, want to be associated with Hitler and the Nazis. Because there are still some on the outer fringes of the far right who really are Nazis inasmuch that they are white-supremacist style anti-Semites with an intense hatred of Jews – and, indeed, anyone else who isn’t white – today’s modern Zionists and their extreme right-wing supporters have constructed a new propaganda strategy to distinguish themselves from their Nazi look-alikes.

This new construct is designed for the rank and file dumb and gullible of the right. It argues that Hitler and the Nazis weren’t actually ‘right-wing’ because they were called ‘National Socialists’ and, according to the Zionist propagandists and their supporters, they had socialist ideals. The new propaganda further argues, because the name of Hitler’s party also included the word ‘Workers’ in it, (the full name of the Nazi Party was the National Socialist German Workers Party), that this was further proof of the Nazis ‘left-wing’ roots. There is also certain convenience in this new construct for the Zionists and their supporters because, not only do they think it disassociates them as right-wingers from the rather embarrassing and similarly labelled Nazis, but it now allows them to cast anti-Zionists, most of whom have a tendency to lean to the political left and who Zionists attempt to demonise as anti-Semites, into the newly constructed ‘Nazi is left-wing’ mould.

The new ‘Nazis were left-wing’ propaganda construct is currently being pushed via the right-wing blogs. Andrew Bolt, a Murdoch propagandist and blogger at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper, a couple of weeks ago highlighted the new propaganda in his column in which he argues that Jewish groups in Europe who worry about the recent gains the anti-Semitic right made in European elections should be far more concerned about the left-wing anti-Zionists in Europe and that the right-wing that are not anti-Semitic are the ‘Jews real friends’. Bolt then allows his bloggies to launch into the ‘Nazis were left-wing’ propaganda. Here are a few examples:

Bolt Bloggie ‘larrikin’ writes:
“it [sic] was the German socialists who formed the Nazi party that instigated the holocaust and it is the left that now demonise Israelis and act as apologist for the islamists [sic] threatening to annihilate Israel. own [sic] it, leftard [sic].” ‘larrikin’ goes on to comment elsewhere:
“…you can’t be ‘right’ and neo-Nazi because Nazism is a creature of the left. If by ‘right’ you mean the opposite of leftism then you are referring to someone who is, essentially, a supporter of the classic republic as a legal and political model. Therefore the ‘right’ is always opposed to dictators and oligarchs, whatever they call themselves and regardless of the form of goose stepping they practice. the left on the other hand ultimately and invariably support dictators and oligarchs.”

While another Bolt bloggie, Alan Mears, writes:
“Hitler was actually from the left, the NAZI party was the Workers Nationalist Socialist Party. What is it with the left? They always attribute the evils deeds committed by their own by using the word “Extreme” with the word Right.”

Regular Bolt bloggie ‘Verax’ responded to Mears’ remark that “Hitler was from the left” saying:
“You are wasting your time with this one, Alan. I have posted that there are two kinds of socialism, national socialism (often called fascism) and Marxian socialism (communism), here ad nauseam.”

And so it goes on.

The new right-wing propaganda has two aims; first, it attempts to cast them as the true right-wing by implying that the Nazis were really ‘left-wing’, and, secondly, in doing so, they think they have created a bin into which the left, because of their anti-Zionism, can now be thrown.

As most true German socialists of the day would attest, or would if there were any actually left, there was absolutely nothing at all ‘socialist’ about the Nazis beyond the word being used in the title of the Nazi party; indeed, it was socialists in the main with whom Hitler’s Brownshirts battled in the streets of Germany prior to Hitler becoming Chancellor in 1933 and rounding up most of the socialists in Germany, and wherever else he could find them, before trying to exterminate them along with everyone else that didn’t fit their political, cultural and racial mould of his Greater Germany.

In the early days there were some Germans deluded enough to actually believe that the word ‘socialist’ in the Nazi party’s name actually did mean that Hitler’s party had socialist leanings and for a while Hitler was quite happy to allow the myth to continue as he built up the party’s numbers and strength using its following to give the party an air of popularity. The delusion was shattered and the myth was dispelled in July 1934 when Hitler and his SS and Gestapo purged the ranks of the massive Brownshirt movement which was the SA. In part this was done more than anything else to appease the extremely un-socialist German military that were beginning to see the SA rabble as a rival to their own power. In short, for Hitler, the SA had fulfilled their role and what few ‘socialists’ had found their way into the Nazi party soon found themselves purged from it or converted to Nazism.

But here’s where the propaganda really back-fires on the right-wing Zionists and their supporters in the West. This early history of the Nazi party to which some deluded socialists, and even communists, initially flocked to, actually reflects much of the early history of Zionism as it established itself in Israel. The early rank and file Kibbutzim movement was made up predominately of those that thought of themselves as socialists, communists and generally left-wing. Many leftish Europeans and Americans, both Gentile and Jewish, made the ‘pilgrimage’ to a Kibbutz in Israel for a year to experience a taste of socialist life. Israel’s early economic and domestic and social policies were essentially left-wing and, indeed, to a certain extent, still are.

Essentially, the new propaganda is really just another attempt to prop up the ‘anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism’ meme which the Zionists have been trying to push with vigour in an effort to counter the influence that Mearsheimer and Walt’s best-selling book ‘The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy’ had on the anti-Zionist movement since it was published.

The new propaganda, in the end, does nothing except demonstrate how desperate the right-wing have become in trying to protect Zionism from its inevitable collapse.

THE ANDREW BOLT’S HYPOCRISY

Today Bolt writes a piece on his blog about the how the Iranian police broke up a protest using tear gas and batons. I wrote the following comment in response though I doubt it’ll be published.

Last Friday Bolt, indeed, while you were in Israel, Israeli fascist occupying troops opened fire with tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets on unarmed peaceful protesters at the village of Bil'in near Ramallah in the West Bank.

No doubt you'll be reporting this in your forthcoming feature article about your visit to Israel.

I won't hold my breath.

The hypocrisy in this is two-fold. Bolt is quite happy to jump on the bandwagon of Western propaganda against the Iranian government but ignores entirely the years of Israeli police and IDF violence against protesting Palestinians and Israelis.

The other hypocrisy is just another example of Bolt’s projection propaganda technique whereby he accuses others of being what he actually is himself; in this case he labels the Iranian leaders as ‘fascists’ thereby attempting to deflect the fact that he is a fascist himself.

Janet Albrechtsen, a Murdoch propagandist with ‘The Australian’ newspaper and one of Australia’s most ardent anti-democracy practitioners, has attempted to talk about the merits of ‘democracy’ relative to events in Iran.

She comes unstuck straight away when she told a group of German school kids that “Australia was one of the world’s oldest continuing democracies”. Blogger ‘Daoud’ soon put her right, telling her:

“Janet, Australia is not one of the world’s oldest continuous democracies. Do you know Aboriginals only had the right to vote in 1967… This was along time after countries such as New Zealand and Norway gave all their citizens the right to vote.”

‘Daoud’ then went on to provide Albrechtsen with a perspective that she had conveniently overlooked when discussing democracy in Iran:

“I find it terribly sad that right wingers like yourself critisise Iran, which is arguably one of the most democratic countries in the middle east after Iraq and Lebanon, and fail to critisise your favourite allies Saudi Arabia, Jordan, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Yeman, Oman et al which are some of the most brutal autocratic regimes in the world.”

Well said ‘Daoud’.

IRANIAN UNREST: THE WEST DOESN’T CARE WHO WINS OR HOW MANY DIE JUST AS LONG AS IT RATTLES THE MULLAHS.

For the right-wing Western media it is really unimportant who won the election in Iran; the important thing is that the resulting turmoil, chaos, and deaths works against the ruling Mullah’s and in favour, no matter how little, of the right-wing of Israel and the US and their supporters in Iran. Greg Sheridan, a Murdoch propagandist with The Australian newspaper, sums it up: “In many ways, a savagely weakened Iranian regime is the best result Israel and the US could have wished for.” Democracy per se, as far as the right-wing are concerned, actually has very little to do with it as long as it’s a good ‘result for Israel and the US’.

It’s quite clear that the reaction to the announcement of the results of the election were planned in advance well before the election took place. Some pre-election polls had Ahmadinejad well in front by some 2-1 so the outcome, contrary to what the Western media would have us believe, wasn’t exactly a surprise to anyone.

However, since the likely outcome was not entirely unexpected, it gave the opposition an opportunity to plan a false claim to election victory, a claim which they voiced as soon as the polls closed. And then when the results were announced, they simply cried ‘foul’. All of this has been helped along by the right-wing Western media who supported the opposition’s claims by focusing the news on the opposition’s rallies and demonstrations against Ahmadinejad and ignoring the pro-Ahmadinejad rallies which were on some occasions much bigger than those of the supporters of Mir Hossein Mousavi. So desperate were the Western media to push the pro-Mousavi cause they even, on at least one occasion, actually claimed that pictures of a massive pro-Ahmadinejad rally were of a pro-Mousavi rally.

It’s quite clear that agent provocateurs have been employed to push along the oppositions agenda. They have encouraged the violence on all sides by provoking the police and by setting fire to buses, cars, motorbikes and buildings. The Western media have claimed that the authorities have violently cracked down on dissenting demonstrators when in fact they have been cracking down on those that have set fires and been running riot. The vast majority of both Ahmadinejad and Mousavi demonstrators have been peaceful. It is only the anti-Mullahs professional agent provocateurs that have stirred up the trouble by running riot and setting the fires and claiming to be supporters of Mousavi.

For the right-wing of the US and Israel, as Murdoch propagandist Greg Sheridan infers, it doesn’t matter whether Ahmadinejad or Mousavi end up getting the nod, nor does it matter how many Iranians have to die in the process, the important thing is that it stirs up trouble for the Mullahs.

For the Israelis it’s just another step along the road toward their final confrontation with Iran.

CLUELESS MURDOCH PROPAGANDISTS THINK IRANIAN PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL MOUSAVI GETTING UP AS PREZ WILL HELP THE ZIONISTS AND THEIR WAR AGAINST ISLAM.

Murdoch’s bloggers in Australia somehow think that supporting Mir Hossein Mousavi who ran against President Ahmadinejad in last Friday’s election in Iran will be good for the Zionists of Israel and be one in the eye against the Mullahs of Iran as they pursue their war against Islam.

For days ever since the election, Murdoch’s loons have been barracking hard for Mousavi in the mistaken belief that in doing so it could lead to ‘regime change’ in Iran. It’s only now that it is dawning on them that, regardless of who the election is handed to, the Mullahs will remain the ultimate power in Iran and that the only difference between Mousavi and Ahmadinejad is over the economy and some other domestic issues. The people of Iran will continue to support Hezbollah, Hamas and the Palestinian people against Israeli aggression and will continue to support the Mullahs in their quest to generate nuclear energy.

Bolt and Blair seem to have absolutely no idea of what is actually going on in Iran at the moment.

MURDOCH PROPAGANDIST ANDREW BOLT MAKES FRANTIC EFFORT TO DISASSOCIATE HIMSELF FROM WHITE SUPREMACIST NAZIS.

The only difference between Andrew Bolt, an Australian Murdoch propagandist and blogger at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper, and James Von Brunn, the white supremacist Nazi who shot and killed a guard at the Holocaust Memorial in the US, is that Andrew Bolt supports Zionism whereas Von Brunn is also an anti-Semite and, therefore, also sees anything that has connections to Israel and Jews, including neoconservatism, as something to be scorned. As a Zionist supporter, on the other hand, Bolt supports neoconservatism but otherwise has similar views towards other non-white peoples as Von Brunn has; both, indeed, are white supremacists.

Like many extreme right-wingers, Bolt and his entourage of bloggies don’t see them selves as extremists but, instead, delude themselves into believing that they are representative of most ‘ordinary’ people. As such, they prefer to detach themselves from labels such as ‘racist’ or ‘fascist’ or ‘neo-Nazi’ and for the last couple of days Andrew Bolt has been making frantic efforts to distance himself even further from these labels.

One method used by the extreme right-wing to deflect the use of labels against them is to inappropriately label the left with those same labels. A classic example of this is their continued deceit regarding those that are anti-Zionist whom they label as being ‘anti-Semite’. While anti-Semites by definition would be anti-Zionist, it does not follow that anti-Zionists are anti-Semite; indeed, there are many anti-Zionists that are actually Jewish and who clearly are not anti-Semite. The right-wing in this case are simply trying to blur the differences between Semitism, which is simply a racial descriptor (just as Nordic is sometimes used as a descriptor for northern Europeans or Negroid is used as a descriptor for peoples of African origin) and Zionism which is a political ideology and has nothing to do with race per se. However, like Nazism which is also a political ideology that had racial connotations inasmuch that it excluded Jews and other peoples the ideology deemed inferior, the ideology of Zionism generally precludes those that are not Jews either by religion, religious birthright, race or racial birthright or conversion.

Some misguided extreme right-wingers (such as Bolt bloggie ‘markusbondi’ commenting on Fri 12 June 09 at 09.14am) even try to deflect being labelled right-wing racist extremists and cast in the same barrel as Nazis by suggesting that Nazis were really socialists because they called themselves ‘National Socialists’ who, according to ‘markusbondi’, apparently “implemented socialist policies”. To ensure the deflection is complete ‘markusbondi’ adds that these ‘socialist policies’ are “not unlike what the Greens want to implement right now”. What stops this nonsense from being merely laughable is the fact that there are some people around who are dumb and gullible enough to actually believe this stuff.

And it is this that brings us back full circle as far Murdoch’s propagandists are concerned. Bolt himself would never get away with writing this nonsense in so many words as ‘markusbondi’ has, however, because Bolt runs his column as a blog, people like ‘markusbondi’ are invited, even encouraged, to strut their paranoid nonsense thus reflecting Bolt’s owns views without Bolt actually having to say it.

When something happens like the killing at the Holocaust museum by someone who is just as much a racist as Bolt is, then Bolt and his followers become desperate to the point of confusion as to how to deal with it without looking like neo-Nazis and racists themselves. The easiest way out for them is to simply use deceit though the only people in the end that they end up deceiving is invariably themselves.

The comment I left at Bolt's Blog - which, of course, is unlikely to be published - went like this:

You're clearly quite confused aren't you Bolt? And your frantic efforts to disassociate yourself from the likes of the Nazi lunatic James Von Brunn will not succeed in making you any less a white supremacist and racist. The only difference between the two of you is that he's an anti-Semite whereas you're pro-Zionist; otherwise there is no difference - no matter how hard you try to spin you're way out of it.

ANDREW BOLT SHOWS HIS TRUE COLOURS BY SUPPORTING THE FASCIST BRITISH NATIONAL PARTY.

Andrew Bolt, the Australian racist journalist and blogger at Murdoch’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper in Melbourne, has today shown his support for the racist neo-Nazi ‘British National Party’ which has recently won a couple of seats in the European Parliament.

Apparently, the fascist and racist Nick Griffin was giving a press conference at Westminster when some anti-fascist demonstrators pelted him with eggs thus effectively ending the press conference. One of the demonstrators, Donna Guthrie from the Unite Against Fascism organisation then gave an interview to the BBC explaining why they demonstrated against Griffin and his fascist thugs in the way that they did. Bolt defends the fascist’s right to what he called ‘freedom of speech’.

Bolt, a fascist and racist himself, believes that these people deserve the right to peddle their sick politics of racist hate. Bolt, no doubt, would have equally defended Hitler’s right to free speech had Bolt been in Germany at the time.

The right to freedom of speech is one thing, but the abuse of that right in order to ferment racial hatred is something else. Bolt’s support of the fascists shows exactly where his sentiments lay.

TIM BLAIR: HE DOESN’T KNOW HIS LEFT FROM HIS RIGHT

A classic ploy of the right-wing propagandist is to try and wedge the left. Tim Blair's propaganda piece today in Sydney's 'Daily Telegraph' newspaper is a classic example of this.

In 1967 a West German policeman, who also happened to be a member of the East German Stasi spy organisation, shot and killed a left-wing demonstrator in then West Berlin. Tim Blair's twisted mind sees this as a ‘leftist committing murder against a leftist’. He actually thinks that the Stasi, the most hated security police organisation in Europe at the time, is ‘left wing’ or ‘socialist’ and that this spy who was with the West German police must therefore have really been a ‘socialist’. He thinks this because he believes that the East German Communist Party was actually ‘Communist’.

Based on Blair's misguided and somewhat ignorant logic he would be telling us next that Stalin was ‘left-wing’ simply because he called himself a ‘communist’. If one follows this logic through, Bolt will no doubt also be believing that Hitler must be ‘left-wing’ because he called his party ‘Socialist’ and a ‘German workers’ party. The connotations couldn’t be more ‘left-wing’.

The fact is the Stasi officer that murdered a left-wing demonstrator whilst posing as a West German police officer was no more ‘left-wing’ or a ‘socialist’ than Hitler or Stalin was. Stalin’s so-called ‘Communist Soviet Union’ was as much a right-wing totalitarian state as Hitler’s National ‘Socialist German Workers’ state was and East Germany after the war was no better.

Just because people attach labels to themselves doesn’t mean to say they actually are what the label says they are.

But the right-wing would never want to let the reality of history get in the way of a propaganda opportunity.

And the Rightoid Tim Blair is no exception. Blair, and, of course, Andrew Bolt at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ who couldn’t resist getting in on the same propaganda, just don’t know their left from their right.

ANDREW BOLT AND THE ART OF RACIST PROJECTION

Dyed-in-the-wool racists tend to have a penchant for strongly denying they are racist and many even have a tendency to protect themselves against such accusations by projecting their racism on those that expose them by accusing them of somehow being racist.

One mainstream media racist who has perfected the art of projection in this way, though he is by no means alone in this ability, is the well-known racist and Murdoch propagandist blogging at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper, Andrew Bolt.

This racist has now, or at least so he thinks, perfected the propagandists art of not only projecting but actually double projecting his racism while at the same time distancing himself by inference from his own racism.

Stay with me; it goes like this: Guy Rundle, a well known left-wing writer and anti-racist, wrote a piece that accentuated the current spate of racism going on in the blogs of the likes of Bolt, Blair, et al, by giving exaggerated examples of the kind of stuff Australian racists come out with these days especially at blogs like Bolt and Blair’s. Bolt and other racist bloggers have seized the opportunity to deny their own racism by actually accusing Rundle of being some kind of latent racist himself for writing this stuff. In doing so, Bolt and others are merely attempting to deflect the slur of being a racist away from themselves but in reality are only ‘projecting’ themselves which they try to do at Rundle’s expense.

Of course, while the ruse has probably worked with the usual mob of dumb and gullible racist self-deniers and bloggies that gather at these sites, most see it for what it really is; a fairly transparent and pathetic attempt to deny their own racism and accuse those that are clearly not racist as being such.

Naturally, I was not able to point this out to Bolt at his racist blog. When I attempted to the response was predictable:

"SNIP - YOU ARE BANNED FROM THIS SITE FOR RACISM. PLEASE STOP TRYING TO SNEAK IN."

Says it all really.

I’m not sure what Stephen ‘Smokey’ Hayes over at Murdoch’s neocon comic ‘The Weekly Standard’ has been puffing on this time but it seems to be either hallucinatory or, more likely, just a little something that induces delusions.

In his latest piece he seems to think that Cheney, despite being ‘unpopular’ (try ‘despised’) is winning the debate on where US national security policy should be going. Smokey just loves Cheneyspeak and is keen to quote his most disgusting hate and arrogance utterings:

“When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry.”

al Qaeda terrorists? What al Qaeda terrorists? The vast majority the US has locked up down Guantanamo way are innocent of any crime; but, hey, why would Cheney, Smokey and all their warmongering mates let a little thing like ‘innocence’ get in the way of all the fun they have waterboarding them?

Then there’s this piece of arrogance that Smokey quotes:

“The United States needs to be not so much loved as it needs to be respected. Sometimes, that requires us to take actions that generate controversy.”

Cheney, Smokey and the rest of the neocon gang at ga-ga land couldn’t care less if their so-called policies ‘generated controversy’ or not; they’d just go right ahead and do it anyway.

Cheney’s not ‘winning the debate’; rather, Obama is losing it to him. The vast majority of Americans detest Cheney and detest the notion of torture, recognising that it flies in the face of all that America is supposed to be and what most Americans believe in.

The neocon loon Smokey Hayes might like to think Cheney’s winning the debate but the reality is the people of America have already heard the debate and made their choice at the last Presidential election. Cheney’s ilk lost the debate and lost the election. The fact that Obama’s going back on the mandate the American people gave him has nothing to do with the criminal Cheney ‘winning the debate’.

But don’t tell Smokey; he’ll wake up to reality just as soon as whatever he’s been puffing on wears off.

There’s nothing like a really pretty and articulate girl who also happens to be a racist to come along and appear on TV to get a racist propagandists heart pumping.

“This is excellent”, he writes excitedly while linking to a video clip of an expressive and pretty 19-year old racist who witnessed a shooting incident in Sydney and without a second thought describes the two men involved as ‘wogs’.

For those that don’t know, the term ‘wogs’ when used to describe someone you don’t know, as in this case and in this context, is a derogatory term that is invariably used by those who have racist tendencies.

The fact that the girl has chosen to expose herself as a racist is one thing; the fact that the racist propagandist Tim Blair has milked the story for all its worth demonstrates the depth to which Australia’s race-hate merchants are prepared to sink in order to peddle their sick poison.

Blair reinforces the racist message by repeating the descriptions of two men involved as being ‘wogs’ deceitfully hoping that no one would notice that, far from imitating the girl, he is actually displaying his own racism.

Last Tuesday I wrote of Australian Murdoch propagandist Andrew Bolt’s complaint about the Hawaiian senate creating an ‘Islam Day’ while only some 0.5% of Hawaiians are Muslims. I wondered if Bolt would be as quick to condemn such a move if had the Hawaiian senate created an ‘Israel Day’.

We’re about to find out. Yesterday, President Obama went one better by declaring that the month of May will be Jewish American Heritage Month for the whole of the US! Not just Hawaii. And the Jewish population in the US is only 1.78%.

I have no problems with Jewish Americans being recognised in this way so one has to wonder why Andrew Bolt has a problem with Islam getting the same recognition.

One doesn’t need to have it spelt out.

The question now is; will we go to Andrew Bolts’ column in Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper and find a complaint from him about Jewish Americans being recognised.

In his column today Andrew Bolt, the anti-Islam racist propagandist at the Murdoch-owned Melbourne ‘Herald-Sun’ newspaper, writes regarding a Perth man who has been charged over an anti-Semitic YouTube film he made: “I damned the video, and worry about the intellectual culture that’s now licensing Jew-hatred. But I’m not entirely easy about what’s happened to that film-maker since”.

Bolt goes on: “That this man was scorned so comprehensively was the most important and necessary reaction. But calling in the law to silence him? It’s not just an attack on free speech, but may also prove counterproductive, elevating an object of ridicule into a martyr.”

Bolt’s fear here is not so much ‘free speech’ – he has no interest in ‘free speech’; he refuses to publish any comments I make at his blog – but more a fear of a precedent being set whereby he too could be arrested for inciting race hatred aimed at Islam.

Bolt’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Today he uses the Hawaiian state senate’s decision to create an ‘Islam Day’ to launch into today’s attack against Islam. Bolt reinforces his racist stance by asking: “If adherents of this faith hadn’t killed so many Americans, would it have attracted this kind of fawning?” The reality, of course, is that genuine ‘adherents of this faith’ would not have committed such a crime in the first place.

Bolt justifies his attack against Islam in this case based on the fact that only some 0.5% of Hawaiians are Muslims (which happens to be about the same percentage of Jews on the islands). One wonders if Bolt would have been so quick off the mark to criticise the Hawaiian senate if it had created, say, an ‘Israel Day’ to commemorate the founding of Israel. One doubts it.

Andrew Bolt at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper says, referring to Obama’s proposed troop pullout from Iraq: “Let’s pray the new president does not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.”

One wonders how or why some 4600 allied soldiers and over a million Iraqis dead with another four million Iraqis displaced from their homes, the country with a now utterly ruined utility infrastructure, a nation rife with criminal violence cloaked in faux sectarian politics; one wonders how all this can be seen as a ‘victory’. And, to think, they actually want to do this all over again with Iran.

Tim Blair displays his racist credentials –again.

Tim Blair at Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’ homes in on violence in Australia but the way Blair puts it one would think that only people ‘of Middle Eastern appearance’ were ever responsible. All the more reason, at least so the racist Blair and his bloggies would hope, to get the government to ban all immigration by Muslims and anyone else ‘of Middle Eastern appearance’.

Piers Akerman thinks asylum seekers are ‘illegal immigrants’.

Piers Akerman, also at Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’ spent most of last week trying to convince Australians that boatpeople seeking asylum in Australia are ‘illegal immigrants’. He pathetically tried to argue that people arriving by this means should be stopped because their means of transport is too dangerous. True, it is dangerous, but that’s not why Akerman wants them stopped. The ‘too dangerous argument’ is simply a useful lever for Akerman to legitimise his true intent which is to stop all Asian and Middle Eastern immigration to Australia.

Illegal immigrants are people that arrive in Australia, usually by airliner, on a tourist visa with the express purpose of coming to stay. Asylum seekers arrive in Australia anyway they can with no intentions other than to seek asylum. What you see is what you get with these people – honest but desperate people. Akerman tries to make asylum seekers seem something else. He’d like the asylum seekers punished for allowing people smugglers to take advantage of them. Not only is Akerman a racist but he’s a deceitful one to boot.

Michael Rubin, writing in Murdoch’s neocon comic ‘The Weekly Standard’, reckons that “a Taliban spokesman announced that Osama bin Laden would be welcome in Swat”, a small province in Pakistan close to the nations capital, Islamabad. If he were alive I’m sure he would be; after all, it’s not called Islamabad for nothing. His spirit, however, is likely to be more welcome there than American and NATO soldiers which, of course, the neocons and the Zionists in particular are hankering after, fearful that an Islamic fundamentalist government of a nuclear armed nation could cause a problem for Zionist ambitions in Palestine and south Lebanon.

A Murdoch propagandist with the neocon comic ‘The Weekly Standard’, Stephen ‘Smokey’ Hayes, has ludicrously attempted to justify torture based on the age-old simplistic argument; that it works.

Apart from the fact that there is much evidence to suggest that torture actually very rarely works, there is also the small matter of it being completely illegal, not to mention immoral. Old Smokey reckons that there has been some “high-value information” resulting from torture but doesn’t say what that was saying that we should blame Obama for that because Dick Cheney “has asked for them to be declassified and made public” but, of course, according to Smokey, Obama is as likely to do that as Dick Cheney is likely to “take up synchronised swimming in his retirement”. One can bet that Dick Cheney made the suggestion about ‘declassifying them and making them public’ knowing full well that that was never going to happen.

It would be a good idea if the Obama administration did declassify this stuff and make it available to the public because the validity of such so-called “high-value information” can soon then be checked out.

But that’s missing the point; regardless of whether or not torture yields “high-value information”, it is just plain illegal and totally immoral by any standards. Smokey Hayes and his kind may want to take us back to the dark ages of history but most people on this planet would prefer to move forward rather than backwards.

According to Bolt’s twisted logic, the scrapping of the TPVs was an open invitation to those wishing to seek refugee status in Australia should continue to do so.

Bolt, as well as others, thinks these people are ‘illegal immigrants’, but are they? Surely coming by boat as they do without visas seeking refugee status makes them, well… refugees. Illegal immigrants are those that have come to Australia with the intention of coming here to live but arrived here by pretending to be something they are not – like tourists. At least so-called ‘boatpeople’ have no pretensions about who they are. Of course, if they happen to be white Zimbabwean farmers tossed off theirs farms there’s no problem getting settled into Australia – even for those that arrive here on tourist visas – all they have to do is get in touch with the local Farmers Federation office on arrival and they’ll handle the rest. But if you arrive here as a very desperate and genuine refugee from Iraq or Afghanistan or wherever on a leaky boat then don’t expect any sympathy from the likes of leftover White Australia racist loonies like Andrew Bolt.

Freedom of speech is one thing but to abuse it in order to peddle Howardesque Nazi-like racist propaganda is something else. Even Murdoch should realise that this revolting and blatant racist brings nothing but disrepute to Australia in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Melbourne’s leading extreme right-wing racist anti-everything-that’s-not-white-and-right, Andrew Bolt, runs a blog in Murdoch’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper that showcases the propaganda techniques used by all of the extreme right-wing propagandists Murdoch employs.

As I write, it’s only 10.19am and already Bolt has put up eight blatantly propagandising blog pieces.

They cover everything from global warming; a dig at British barrister Geoffrey Robertson, advocate for a charter of rights; President Obama who Bolt feels will never be able to live up the standards set by Bolt’s hero George W. Bush; Australia’s CSIRO science research organisation which Bolt reckons is ideologically driven on account that it researches climate change and contributes to the science of alternative energy resources; the roll-out of the governments broadband system (it’s a Labor government initiative rather than a Liberal government initiative so therefore automatically comes in for a hammering); a promotion of air-conditioners saying they saved the lives of the elderly and, in so doing, has an underhanded dig at the long term notion of developing eco-friendly houses that don’t need air-conditioning which Bolt claims is a ‘green jihad’ thing. This particular piece of propaganda is almost clever – if it weren’t so blatantly transparent. The phrase ‘green jihad’ lumps together two of his pet hates, the Greens and Islam, in an attempt to demonise Greens in the same way as he attempts as an Islamophobe to demonise Muslims.

Bolt also has a go at last years ‘2020 Summit’ organised by Kevin Rudd and, the latest one before finishing this article, a dig at the unions.

They’re all worth a look at if, for no other reason, that one gains an insight into how Murdoch’s Propagandists operate.

One wonders what sort of world there would be if there was no Rupert Murdoch to support these hate-everything-mongers.

GREG SHERIDAN, A MURDOCH PSEUDO-INTELLECTUAL PROPAGANDIST, THINKS NORTH KOREAN ROCKET IS THREAT TO AUSTRALIA!

Well known propagandist Greg Sheridan writing for Murdoch’s ‘The Australian’ newspaper has said that the North Koreans “…have demonstrated to the world that they can produce a successful, long-range, weapons-bearing missile, which could strike the US, or Australia for that matter, with a nuclear payload”.

In reality the North Koreans have done nothing more than successfully launch a satellite just as they said they were going to do. And why shouldn’t they? Scores of nations have done the same thing over the years yet we’ve heard nothing from the right-wing merchants of hate about them – unless, of course it happens to be Iran or some other nation that the US and their allies are trying to demonise.

One has to wonder what it is that the West is worried about with North Korea. Yes, it is a country that is run for the benefit of its elitist leaders but then so is the US and many other countries in the West. The ordinary peoples of North Korea are no more or less hard done by than the ordinary peoples of any other country – especially in this day and age, but for some reason ‘communist’ countries (as if North Korea is actually a ‘communist’ country; it’s just another form of fascism just like Stalin’s Russia) need still to be demonised by those other fascist countries that still call themselves ‘democracies’. They’re all cast in the same mould; they just pop out with different labels on them and start fighting each other to see who can enrich themselves the most.

The world has nothing to worry about from North Korea. However, the nation that the world should be really worried about at the moment is Israel and its ability to launch nuclear weapons. And the US who actually have a history of having used their nuclear weapons.

Sheridan also waffles on about North Korea’s ‘defiance’ of UN resolutions. In doing so he displays his hypocrisy. He is always quick to criticise Iran and North Korea for ignoring UN resolutions, (all resolutions incidentally that have been introduced by the US or its Western allies), but I don’t recall ever hearing or reading about Sheridan or his ilk criticising Israel for the 60-odd UN resolutions they have ignored.

I don’t go along with the way North Korea’s leaders run things in their country and I would prefer to see a world that has no nuclear weapons at all. But I go along even less with nations like the US and their allies who run things little differently from places like North Korea (many Americans are just as badly off as many North Koreans) and who actually do have nuclear weapons and go around threatening peoples that don’t agree with the way the US do things.

Sheridan and his fellow neocons should pull their heads from the sand and face the reality of a world that has woken up their propaganda nonsense.

What is it about the extreme right-wing in the Western world that it has to continually raise fears about enemies that simply don’t exist any more and probably never did?

This last week or two, the Australian right-wing has regurgitated anti-China tensions for no other reason, so it seems, than it is politically expedient for them to do so. The right-wing have seized on the opportunity of making political capital out of some petty circumstantial relationship between Australia’s Defence Minister, Joel Fitzgibbon, and Chinese businesswoman Helen Liu. All that happened was that Liu paid for a trip or two for Fitzgibbon to visit China while Fitzgibbon was in opposition.

It turns out that Liu has connections with the Chinese military which the right-wing is saying is a ‘security risk’ despite there being no reason to believe ‘secrets’ were passed on to her or, indeed, if she actually was after any ‘secrets’.

Australia and China for some years have been enjoying a great business relationship to the extent that both countries have become enriched as a result. Much of that business was conducted during the Howard years, a period, apparently, when there were no such concerns about China being a potential enemy. But now Australia has a Labor government it has become expedient for the right-wing to resurrect the old ‘yellow peril’ and ‘red under the bed’ fearmongering animosities of the last century.

And, of course, Murdoch’s shills can’t help themselves from jumping on the fearmongering bandwagon. Andrew Bolt, always quick to seize on an opportunity to either demonise other peoples because of their race, religion or culture, or alternatively, entire nations because their political systems aren’t like America’s, must think all his propaganda birthday’s have come at once with the opportunity to bash China, a nation that is both racially and culturally, as well as politically, different from Australia. Bolt has grabbed at this opportunity with both hands demanding that Australia’s Defence Minister resign because, as Bolt ridiculously accuses, “Fitzgibbon was groomed by Helen Liu” saying that, “In fact, it’s precisely because China’s rising influence here is a security threat that Joel Fitzgibbon should now resign.”

One has to ask: How come China’s ‘rising influence’ is a security threat now and wasn’t when John Howard was Prime Minister?

Warmongering and fearmongering lunatics like Bolt and his fellow propagandists should pull their heads out of the sand-pit of the twentieth century and move in to the twenty-first century where most people have moved on from the mind-numbing stupidity of the Cold War and non-existent threats.

Andrew Bolt, resident propagandist at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’, once again displays his appalling hypocrisy and racial bias. He decries a petition that supports the boycotting and sanctioning of Israel on the grounds that all Israelis will suffer as a result ‘regardless of their personal views or merits’ as he puts it, yet he is quite happy to support exactly the same kind of boycotting and sanctioning against the Iranian people – presumably ‘regardless of their views or merits’ as well.

The call to boycott Israel will highlight the practices of the most racist nation on the planet. Just as boycotts and sanctions worked against the apartheid state of South Africa, so it will work against the apartheid state of Israel.

The quicker the Zionist notion of a racist Jews-only Israeli state is destroyed the better for all Jews and Arabs that live in what is now Israel, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank who can then get on with their lives in peace and harmony in a secular bi-national state where all are equal.

Andrew Bolt, Murdoch propagandist at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper, has today attempted to distance the convicted ex-Justice Marcus Einfeld from his Jewishness by reporting that the Synagogue Einfeld attended was upset that film of him worshipping there was shown on the TV during an interview with him.

Bolt writes: “How utterly selfish is Marcus Einfeld? Selfish enough to associate fellow Jews with his lying, using a Jewish choir as a prop to show his goodness.”

How utterly transparent is Bolt’s nonsense? Einfeld was simply doing what his faith, regardless of his dishonesty, demanded he do. Just as people of any religion who have ‘sinned’ might go to their church to ask their deity for forgiveness, so Einfeld attended his synagogue. Catholics do it all the time.

All Bolt is trying to do here is disassociate Einfeld from the Australian Jewish community lest all Australian Jews be tarnished with the same brush – just as Bolt usually attempts to do when criticising Islamic misdeeds.

It didn’t take too long for Murdoch’s chief neocon propagandist, William Kristol of the neocon comic ‘The Weekly Standard’, to pen his response to President Obama’s televised offering of a tentative hand of peace.

According to Kristol, Obama didn’t offer the Iranian people ‘liberty’ nor ‘freedom’ nor ‘democracy’ nor ‘human rights’. The reason for that is because Obama doesn’t have it to offer. Every where else the neocons have talked about giving people these things has turned to utter disaster. Why would Obama offer more of the same to Iran?

And does Kristol really expect the Iranian people to welcome the US and their allies after having seen what they have done to Afghanistan and Iraq?

Liberty? Freedom? Democracy? Human Rights? Kristol has no idea what the words even mean. Kristol goes on:

Indeed, "the United States wants the Islamic Republic of Iran to take its rightful place in the community of nations." Note: "the Islamic Republic of Iran." Does Obama routinely refer to Pakistan as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, its formal name? Of course not. But Obama goes out of his way to mention (twice) "the Islamic Republic of Iran." He's kowtowing to a regime that is anything but republican, implicitly forswearing any plan--any hope--of regime change to free the Iranian people.

Regime change? What regime change? Wasn’t it all about Iran’s so-called nuclear weapons program?

Of course it’s about regime change. It has, for the Israelis and their neocon supporters, never ever been about anything else. Regime change in Iran means the Israelis get to have their Greater Israel sooner. Iranian support for Hezbollah and Hamas disappears and resistance by the Palestinians and the Lebanese to Israeli aggression all but disappears as well.

Kristol exposes the neocon and Israeli fraud – it’s not about Iran’s nuclear weapons program at all; it’s all about regime change.

There is a classic example of the propagandist’s art in yesterdays Sydney ‘Daily Telegraph’ of how the well-trained propagandist plies his craft.

Tim Blair, a well known Australian Islamophobe and a resident propagandist with Murdoch’s Sydney, Australia, rag, wasted no time at all in picking up on a story about the maverick Lakemba Imam, Taj-Din al-Hilali, who again was in the news because of some totally un-newsworthy incident; an incident that would not have made the news had it not been for the fact that he is an outspoken Muslim.

For Blair the incident was heaven sent. It provided him with yet another golden opportunity to demonise Muslims. By criticising and ridiculing the sometimes outrageous Imam, Blair paints the picture of the Imams actions being representative of what all Muslims get up to. Of course, he doesn’t say this directly but then he doesn’t need to; mostly, he’s already preaching to the converted and he’s now simply reinforcing the notion.

Read in isolation Blairs words would mean little but when one reads his constant almost daily barrage of anti-Islamic nonsense one soon begins to understand how this hate merchant works.

It is part of the propagandists craft to go about noting your enemy’s weaknesses and then casually dropping in their religion or beliefs as an aside in order to associate one with the other with the intent of casting all those with the same religion or beliefs as having the same weaknesses.

I won’t mention that a certain ex President of a certain Middle Eastern country has been indicted for a certain obnoxious crime and you can bet your boots that Tim Blair won’t either.

Bugger!! Too late!! I went and mentioned it.

Andrew Bolt, never one able to resist a dig at the North Koreans while, at the same time, belittling anyone that comes anywhere near saying something nice about them, has demonstrated again how the complex network of neocons and Murdoch propagandists gets to spin and weave their rhetoric in order to peddle their hate and loathing of anything anti-West.

British neocon Oliver Kamm, founder member of the neocon Henry Jackson Society in the UK, wrote that Britain’s ambassador to North Korea, Peter Hughes, was unfit for the position on account of him apparently writing nice things about everyday life in North Korea. Kamm, forever the opportunistic neocon and quick to seize on this opportunity to have a bash at both North Korea and a Labour government ambassador but clearly a bit slow about understanding the diplomatic role of any ambassador, displays his hypocrisy by claiming North Korea does despicable things to its people. Ignored, of course, is any notion that any nation that does despicable things to its people is worthy of criticism. His air is one that suggests that the West would never do anything despicable to anyone.

Bolt goes along with this rubbish.

I wrote the other day about Nick Dyrenfurth’s article in ‘The Australian’ pushing the argument that ‘anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism’. Needless to say Murdoch’s pro-Zionist propagandists and apologists have jumped on Dyrenfurth’s bandwagon. It seems the Sydney ‘Daily Telegraph’s’ resident propagandist/blogger Tim Blair has drawn the short straw to follow up on Dyrenfurth’s nonsense. Considering Blair’s own dislike of Dyrenfurth one can only assume that the master of the Murdoch stable of propagandists had ordered Blair to do the job.

Blair, quite predictably, agrees entirely with Dyrenfurth’s nonsense.

The other day Murdoch’s flagship Australian propaganda newspaper, ‘The Australian’, published another piece from the Australian Israeli Lobby shoving the ‘anti-Israel is anti-Semitism’ meme in support of the Australian Israel Lobby’s push to get Australia to withdraw from the Durban Review conference on racism.

In this case the article is aimed at the least well informed of Australian society and, appropriately enough, was written by an academic. Nick Dyrenfurth, a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Sydney writes:

As I entered the grounds of the University of Sydney during Orientation Week, plastered across virtually every pole leading up to the university's entrance was a poster signed off by the far-left group Socialist Alternative.

Headlined "War: Why capitalism is to blame", the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine were presented as exhibits A, B and C. In the poster's foreground, a ubiquitous Uncle Sam figure loomed, his all-powerful hand resting on, you guessed it, his menacing pet bulldog, Israel.

The message was clear. Israel, the US's proxy in the Middle East, is to blame for all the problems of the Middle East, if not the woes of the world. Get rid of Israel and we'll all live happily ever after, presumably on a strict diet of lentils and tofu. The more serious and indeed frightening symbolism at play was the clearly racist, anti-Semitic linkage of Israel, and by association Jews, with the machinations of "evil" capitalism.

Here Dyrenfurth is attempting to be clever with his propaganda. He attempts to kill several birds with one stone linking, for example, Jews ‘by association’ with Israel. Well, of course, Israel is Jewish but that’s not to say that all Jews are Israeli which is what Dyrenfurth attempts to imply. There is also a not-so-subtle allusion to the ‘Far-left being anti-Semitic’. Dyrenfurth reinforces this notion with this which attempts to align the far-Left with the far-Right:

None of this of course is new. The far Left and, more often, the thugs of the far Right have long peddled anti-Semitic conspiracy theories in which an all-powerful Zionist cabal controls the world's financial levers, a "fact" hidden, of course, by its control of Western media outlets and compliant governments.

Of course the far-Right have peddled anti-Semitic conspiracy theories; that’s what they do. They are Jew-haters and have always been around. But to attempt to align the Left who are anti-Zionist with neo-Nazis and Jew-haters is just plain transparent and blatant Zionist propaganda and to suggest that the Left have peddled ‘anti-Semitic conspiracy theories’ is a deliberate lie.

The reality is this: Jew-hating Nazis have absolutely nothing in common with the anti-Zionism of the Left. Anti-Zionism is political, not racial, and is reviled by the Left for exactly the same reasons as the Left revile the politics of Nazism.

Dyrenfurth, far from being clever with his attempt to malign the Left at his university in order to promote lies and propaganda to support calls for Australia to boycott the Curban Review conference, merely exposes himself to be nothing more than just another Israeli Lobby propagandist who uses lies and deceit to push his pro-Zionist nonsense on Australians who don’t know any better.

Thankfully the world is beginning to wake up to this ‘anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism’ nonsense. Hopefully the world’s leaders will too.

EXPOSING AKERMAN’S ABORIGINAL MYTHS.

An Australian Murdoch propagandist, Piers Akerman, writing on his blog at Sydney’s ‘Daily Telegraph’, has again exposed his racist tendencies toward Australia’s Aboriginal people by denying that Aboriginal children were taken from their parents as part of Australian Federal and States policies saying that the stories of the ‘Stolen Generations’ are a myth.

Denial of the ‘Stolen Generations’ stories is something of a feature among Murdoch’s propagandists in Australia. Andrew Bolt, another of Murdoch’s propagandists over at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper is another ‘Stolen Generations’ denier.

Akerman’ assertion that the ‘Stolen Generations’ are a myth are based on the admission of an Aboriginal leader that she wasn’t actually stolen despite having previously said she was. Akerman works on the crazy logic that if the Aboriginal leader wasn’t stolen than nor were any other Aborigines. In true racist form, he casts all Aboriginal people in the same mould. Like Bolt, Akerman ignores entirely the massive volumes of evidence which show very clearly the tales of woe that most Australians would prefer to ignore hoping, like Akerman and Bolt, that it’ll all just go away and that white Australian’s can continue to abuse them and their lands and their rights.

NEOCON WARMONGERS ARE AT IT AGAIN – ‘YES WE CAN!!’ THEY SHOUT, ‘LET’S SURGE THE TALIBAN!!’

The neocon warmongers that believed the ‘surge’ in Iraq actually worked now think that, seven and a half years after invading Afghanistan, they are fighting a war they can win, despite all the evidence that suggests otherwise – if only, so they suggest, they could get say another couple of hundred thousand allied soldiers in to the place.

Writing in one of Murdoch’s most notorious propaganda comics, ‘The Weekly Standard’, Kimberly Kagan, husband Frederick Kagan and Max Boot exert ten pages of effort into trying to convince readers that a surge against the Taliban in Afghanistan will work. (A much shortened version of the same nonsense appeared recently in ‘The New York Times’.) After wading through the long version in ‘The Weekly Standard’ one has to wonder if the likes of Kimberly Kagan, husband Frederick Kagan and Max Boot really have any idea of what they are talking about.

One would have thought that at least the war-obsessed Kimberly Kagan would have some idea; she is, after all, the president of the rather grand and typically neocon-sounding Institute for the Study of War. A keen first year history student could have quickly told her that a ‘surge’ in Afghanistan against the Taliban is doomed to failure before the first lift of soldiers gets off the ground.

Now, these people know all the reasons why others over the centuries have failed to subdue the fiercely independent people of Afghanistan yet still they insist that they can succeed where all these others have failed based solely on the belief that the Afghan people actually want the Americans and their allies to win. This, in turn, is based on their assumption that the Afghan people don’t’ want the Taliban as their government. It hasn’t occurred to Messrs Kagan, Kagan and Boot that after seven and half years of war instigated by the Americans and their allies, all the Afghan people want is for the US and their allies to leave their country so that they can sort their own problems out. Kagan, Kagan and Boot don’t realise that those that are joining the so-called Taliban in their droves today are just ordinary Afghanis that are simply fed up with the Westerners being on their dirt. Most are not the ideologues of the type that made up the Taliban ranks in the late 1990s and early 2000s; today they come from all over Afghanistan and are affiliated with many groups that collectively are fighting the US and their allies in a genuinely popular insurgency that has now permeated into what the West calls north west Pakistan.

Kagan, Kagan and Boot, in both the ‘Weekly Standard’ and the NYT versions of their fantasy, rely on a BBC-ABC News poll released last month but taken in the period December 2008-January 2009, that showed only 4% of Afghans wanted Taliban rule. For Kagan, Kagan and Boot this translates as ‘the other 96% must want the US and their allies to destroy the Taliban and their allies and keep the puppet government in power’.

When one takes a look at the poll, however, we find that this is nowhere near the case. Indeed, only some 40% of those polled (and remember those polled were in areas that were safe for pollsters to travel in and, therefore, in areas under allied control) believed that “…their country was headed in the right direction”.

There might well be just 4% that would like to see the return of Taliban rule but that’s not why the Afghan insurgents are joining the fight against the US and their allies; they are joining because they simply do not want them there anymore. They’ve had a taste of so-called ‘democracy’ but have now discovered that it’s actually only a pseudonym for an opportunity for Afghan elitists and warlords to indulge in corruption and nepotism.

There is no al Qaeda anymore and the Taliban per se barely exists as Kagan, Kagan and Boot actually concede, with the label ‘Taliban’ now simply being a catch-all name for those fighting the US and their allies in much the same way as the name ‘al Qaeda in Iraq’ was a catch-all name for those that resisted invasion and occupation in Iraq rather than actually having anything to do with al Qaeda.

Despite all this and Afghanistan’s history of repelling invaders, Kagan, Kagan and Boot now advocate that the current force of some 58,000 US and allied forces in Afghanistan be ‘surged’ to a staggering 250,000, a force that they reckon can beat the insurgency.

Of course, this isn’t going to happen, especially in the present economic climate and with Obama as President, but it does goes to show how desperately ridiculous the neoconservatives have always been in their warmongering ways. And in a post-George W. Bush world such continuing fantasies serve only to highlight just how gullible the world was back in 2001 when it listened to these people in the first place when they were demanding the West invades Afghanistan and Iraq because, so they told us, they were responsible for 9/11.

The self-righteous and war obsessed neocons know only violence. It hasn’t worked. It was doomed never to work. After years of neocon dominance in Bush foreign policy all the world has ended up with is death and misery for millions throughout the Middle East and Central Asia.

Time to try something else – like talking!

ANDREW BOLT'S 'VIOLENCE' HYPOCRISY

Andrew Bolt, writing on his blog at Melbourne’s ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper has the temerity to ask:
“What is it with the Left and violence?”

What the rest of the world asks is: ‘What is it about the right-wing of the West and violence? Why not condemn right-wing violence as well?'

The kind of violence that Bolt is referring to is the kind one might find at a left-wing rally or protest which gets out of hand and which generally is provoked by either the police who like to take a confrontational stance against the left, or agents provocateurs imbedded with otherwise peaceful demonstrators.

Of course, violence should not be condoned from any quarter, left or right, but Bolt has abused his position as a journalist to create bias against a left-wing group whose violence is but a school yard bundle compared to the sick violence right-wing governments and their armies inflict when they invade lands that don’t belong to them and kill their inhabitants, many of whom are innocent civilians including women and children. Why does not Bolt condemn this violence?

He won’t condemn it because he actually condones it. He thinks that Australian troops are ‘heroes’ because they are being used by our government to kill people, people that he has never met and who live thousands of kilometres away, using some of the most sophisticated and deadliest weapons known devised by man and all on the say so of some other foreign government that pretends to be Australia’s ally.

Just another piece of Chutzpah and hypocrisy from Andrew Bolt, but it’s all just part of another day’s work for him.

What is it with the Right and violence?

SOME OF MURDOCH’S AUSTRALIAN LIARS AND PROPAGANDISTS.

In Australia, the country where it all began for Rupert Murdoch, the propaganda machine he owns and runs reaches into every corner of Australian life. In the print media Murdoch has reach into every part of Australia via ‘The Australian’ newspaper, published nationally, and then, via his many state-based newspapers, he is able to target specific audiences for specific purposes to suit for the state.

Attached to all of these newspapers is an army of right-wing writers with the most extreme of them running blogs in Australia’s two biggest cities, Sydney and Melbourne, in which readers are invited to comment. By the use of extensive censorship these blogs attract a large audience of fellow travellers ranging from the reasonably articulate moderately right-wing who occasionally will dispute the editor’s view, through to the most outrageously racist and Islamophobic warmongers and all-round right-wing extremists there are in Australia who seem to be attracted to these blogs like moths to a light.

There are three extreme right-wing bloggers working for the Murdoch empire in Australia that deserve particular mention since they seem to be the most prolific writers attracting the most extremist of views and who, most importantly, censor their blogs in order to make it seem as though the views expressed there are representative of the average Australian – which, of course, is the always the ultimate aim of the professional propagandist.

In Melbourne, writing for the ‘Herald-Sun’, is the right-wing extremist Andrew Bolt who holds neoconservative views about Zionism and Islam. He is also an ultra-nationalist and is a denier of the rights of the indigenous peoples of Australia. He even denies that Aboriginal children were forcibly taken from their parents as a matter of policy saying that “…the stolen generations was a dangerous myth that would only feed the anger and race hate we saw in the Redfern riots”, despite the abundant evidence that shows the stolen generations to be one of the sadder realities of Australian history.

Over in Sydney there are two extreme right-wing propagandists, both of whom write for Murdoch’s Sydney newspaper, ‘The Daily Telegraph’. They are Piers Akerman and Tim Blair.

Piers Akerman has had a chequered career as a journalist with accusations of sexual assault against fellow workers being levelled at him when he ran Melbourne’s ‘Sunday Herald Sun’ newspaper, as well as threatening assault against a member of his staff when he earlier ran Murdoch’s Adelaide, South Australia, newspaper, ‘The Advertiser’, in the late 1980s. More recently Akerman blatantly and cynically used the tragedy of the Victorian bushfires to push his Islamophobic views via his blog at the Sydney ‘Daily Telegraph’.

The other Sydney ‘Daily Telegraph’ Murdoch propagandist is Tim Blair. Blair is renowned for his use of lies and liars when blogging.

As well as highlighting these and other Murdoch propagandists past inglorious lies this blog will keep tabs on their activities as time goes forward.

This blog has been specifically created to expose Rupert Murdoch’s propagandists, describe how they operate and to counter their propaganda and rhetoric with the geo-political realities and the truth of what is really happening behind the scenes that Murdoch and his propagandists would prefer you knew nothing about.

Murdoch has a massive news and media organisation that is able to reach into every living room throughout the entire Western world – and beyond. Much of its so-called ‘news’ content is carefully designed to induce a particular bias toward a view that would be favourable to the view represented by the Murdoch propagandists.

Murdoch has a long history of championing Israeli Zionists and their neoconservative supporters around the world providing them with a platform from which to present their propaganda.

The vast majority of Murdoch’s editorial staff are hard right pro-Zionist individuals who ensure that very little gets through to their audience that is not favourable to their cause.

This blog will expose who these people are, how they operate and what deliberately calculated lies and innuendo they tell in order to push their extreme right-wing views.

Particular attention will be paid to those that pass themselves off as ‘political and social commentators’.
